Very impressed with the Firestone Double Barrel Ale. The fact that it's on-tap helps the fresh taste and feel. While its smell (or appearance for that matter) is not necessarily spectacular, what matters is how it taste and what it does... Hope this can 1) be replicated, 2) be preserved in other serving types.

Reviewed from notes.
Pours a golden-amber color with a thin head and a bit of lacing as it makes its way down the glass. The nose is really quite nice with some lactic notes and a bit of a light acetic character to complement the sweet pitted fruits and oak presence. Good acidity takes over the flavor as well and pairs well with the oak. Nothing overpowering, though certainly quite noticeable, becoming a dominant portion of the beer along with light fruit and some citrus. Medium body with good oak and acidity leading to a dry finish. A good experiment indeed.
