Bought a 22 bottle back in early June on a visit to the taproom & brewery. Poured into my Bruery snifter.

Pours a brownish amber with tan head that lingers a bit. Smells a little roast like but as it warms a strong spicy and faint citrus hop aroma seems to take over. The longer it warms the more the hops take the forefront. Tastes roasty with a little chocolate. A tad bit of coffee flavor comes in. Tastes medium light with a nice bitterness at the end. Overall, a very solid robust porter but it doesn't really blow me away all that much.

Poured jet black into a 34oz mug, with a relatively thick light tan head. Smells clean and metallic, with coffee and chocolate undertones. Tastes thick and sweet, almost like an oatmeal stout at first; then fades into subdued roasted malts and chocolate. A great, full-bodied porter.
