Pours a hazy cola brown but black in glass. Bubbly khaki head with fairly low retention and lacing.

Nose is pretty much one note. Dark malt, faint chocolate.

Nice robust flavor and balance. Mild dark chocolate and roasted malt and nuts.

Medium bodied, maybe a touch on the thin side. Medium carbonation.

Overall a good but not amazing porter. I've had this many times and feel like it was better than this. I gotta try again and re-review in the future.

Poured jet black into a 34oz mug, with a relatively thick light tan head. Smells clean and metallic, with coffee and chocolate undertones. Tastes thick and sweet, almost like an oatmeal stout at first; then fades into subdued roasted malts and chocolate. A great, full-bodied porter.
