Notes:
A singularly distinctive beer that represents our finest brewing efforts, Walker’s Reserve is a elegant dark ale featuring robust flavors of toffee, caramel and bittersweet chocolate. This brew employs five specialty malts, as well as oat and barley flakes, for added complexity and flavor.

Pours a dark brown to black color and seems nearly impenetrable to light. Brownish red glints around the edge of the glass. Beautiful, big, thick, creamy taupe head. Dark chocolate and heavy cream aromas. Wonderful chocolate flavor up front that yields to a less obtrusive coffee and finishes wih an appropriate coffee acidity. The mouthfeel is thick, wet, smooth, then, immediately, mildly crisp along the entire surface of the tongue. A very nice beer and true to style. It kicks Guiness' ass 6 ways from Sunday.

Poured jet black into a 34oz mug, with a relatively thick light tan head. Smells clean and metallic, with coffee and chocolate undertones. Tastes thick and sweet, almost like an oatmeal stout at first; then fades into subdued roasted malts and chocolate. A great, full-bodied porter.
