A: hey there good lookin! orange with a color tint favoring blood orange, a wonderfully clear beer with absorbs light like a sponge. I'm pretty sure you could tan under the light of this beer. A solid 3 finger head with thick lacing that scarred the glass.
S: Pineapple, tangerine, and cumquat fruit salad. It's a sweet malt ceviche with sugar on top. I'm going to leave it at that, I pretty much nailed it (haha).
T: a perfectly mixed cocktail of sweet malt, tropical juice, and alcohol. The hops are but a minty garnish on this sweet juice bomb. Take a look at your glass, you are drinking a fancy appetizer. Make your friend pay the bill, it's going to be a fancy meal. masterfully subtle hop presence throughout the tasting experience.
M: if there was a velvet cactus, then it would certainly be named Firestone double jack. the mouth-feel is wonderfully peppery with thousands of microscopic explosions. Double jack is TNT, it's dynamite.
O: There's a lot good about this beer and there's some things that are great. The taste is really on the money, and the mouth-feel is consistently on par with the menu. while your friend might be paying for this fancy meal, be sure to contribute towards a good tip. This is after all a fine establishment.

Firestone Walker Double Jack: Pretty fine double IPA. Got this as a birthday present, and its a nice one! Peachy color to the body, with a faint haze. The head is thin and fades. Fruity aroma earns big points. But ultimately the flavor rules. Nice apricot sweetness, smooth, and a slight bitter in the aftertaste only. Very good double IPA by any standard. A define must try if you like this type of beer. Good introduction to double IPAs, but do not expect them all to be this good!

A - Pours copper in color, semi-translucent with an eggshell head. Decent lacing down the glass.
S - A citrus bomb in the nose with grapefruit/pineapple, a touch of pine hops along with light sweet malts in the background.
T - Resin & citrus with a good malt bill. Not Overly hoppy or a palette wrecker but does have a good hop bite finish.
M - Medium bodied/carbonation with a wet finish.
O - FW did things right with this beer. The taste left me wanting a little more though.
