This is a great BBQ Beer i had this beer on tap at a little resturant in cayucus with fish and chips. It really is something else its just one of those beers i could drink with friends all day while playing horseshoes.
The beers had light bubbly foam. it was citracey and sweet. Had a good smell to it. and a really nice finish. You definitely taste the honey.

For a blonde ale, I have trouble understanding why the flavors are so subdued. The malt is there, but its very mellow and weak. Any other flavors aren't heavily present, and the finish has a slight bitter tang to it. Any aspects of honey aren't readily noticable.
Overall, I do give it credit for being drinkable, but its pretty average as far as a craft beer goes. I really wish the malt flavor lasted a little longer, I don't get much of a smell, and it just doesn't work for me. There are worse beers to drink out there, but this one is too run-of-the-mill to recommend.

Pours a golden yellow. Small half inch white foam head.
Smells shockingly like honey. I mean, I really didn't expect much of it. Aroma and flavor are redolent with sweet sugary honey. Some light malt, a bit of ... banana/yeasty bread backing, but the honey is incredibly distracting.
Very tough to get through an entire pint. Mouthfeel was okay.

While visiting Firestone/Walker Brewery, I tried this ale and was very fond of it. When poured into a 10oz glass, the color was a medium yellow with loads of white foam and a lot of lace on the side of the glass from first sip to last gulp! The smell of hops and malts was very pleasant. The taste was of a medium hoppy taste of piney flavor along with a touch of sweetness from the honey and a touch of fruitiness. Nicely balanced components in this ale.

Call me crazy, but every time I have smelled this beer, I can smell light floral scents, besides honey. My guess is they must have used a wildflower honey.
Great opening taste w/ plenty of hops, but would have liked more on the tongue as you drink through.
It seems to appeal more to a female beer drinker than men. The women I have shared this beer with love the smell.

On tap at Buellton Taproom
Poured deep yellow color with a small white head. Nose is light hops, malts, very light honey
Taste is lightly hoppy with a honey hint. I thought it tasted like a lighter Pale 31 with a dash of honey.I thought it was a fuller bodied blonde. It was pretty tasty.

On tap at the Firestone Walker Taproom in Buellton as "Firestone Walker Honey Blonde". They also have this on tap at Z's Tap House in Goleta as Z's Honey Blonde, and you can order kegs of it locally as well. I find it odd that it is under the Stuft Pizza brand here, but it appears to be the same beer. A light gold with a small head. Sweet malty and grainy aroma. The flavor is also sweet and grainy with almost no hops. There aren't off flavors present that you might find in a macro offering similar to this, but the flavor is boring and one-dimensional. Clean, light palate. FW has succeeded in making a light, clean, and inoffensive beer for those visiting the taproom who don't really like beer. Other than that, it's not really of any interest. It would sure be nice if someone got a keg of this instead of high life at a college party in Isla Vista, but at double the price, I'm not holding my breath. rerate: On tap at Chili's Goleta. Much cleaner malt profile, without the graininess, and more honey flavor. Nice. definitely the beer for the masses, but well done.

My girlfriend bought a keg of this for a party. The label on the keg reads "PL Honey Blonde Ale - Ale Brewed With Honey."
Appearance: Pours with a quarter-finger head. Lacing is extremely slight, with some spottiness for the most part, but also some finger-like formations. Body is a blonde with copper highlights. Nothing amazing, but not completely boring, either.
Smell: Slight floral and pine hoppiness on the front end. Grainy malts with a hint of its honey namesake. An apple or slight banana -like malt quality on the back end. Fairly good nose.
Taste: Hops fade into an end-note/afterthought in the taste. Slight sweetness and honey flavor. Lots of grainy/corn-flavor malts. Not a highlight.
Mouthfeel: A little thin, but adequately carbonated.
Drinkability: It's perfectly drinkable, not at all harsh.
