Outstanding brew pub. We've eaten here approximately 15 times with groups of 4 to 15, and we haven't had bad service or a bad meal yet.
Frequently, we go to brunch on a Sunday morning. When they have them, the Cherry Porter Pancakes are a decadent pleasure, or better yet go for the Eggs in a hole - the beer cheese soup is delicious and figures prominently in the dish.
The beer is always good as well.
Go here, you won't regret it.

Atmosphere is great. Has a somewhat upscale feeling compared to many bars/breweries. Tap list was decent in terms of quality and quantity. Two minor complaints: first there was nothing on cask at 3:00 pm (apparently it was blown already) and there was nothing on tap of the rarer variety. Would have been nice to see something barrel aged on tap given the number of great barrel aged beers that Rev puts out.
Service was quite slow, despite the place not being very busy.
Had some apps and the food was quite good.

what a happening place this is! and how cool to be at the spot where the cover of BA was shot for the current month, a pleasant surprise upon our arrival. its in a swanky younger neighborhood of Chicago, and it was absolutely packed to the gills on a sunday afternoon. an expansive bar room with a central bar and the brew house in the back. standing room only as we walked in, not greeted by employees who seemed to care we were there, and had trouble with the service all day, but that's not why we came there. some ten beers on tap, all their own, and an impressive bottle list. drafts fairly priced, big markups on the packaged offerings, but they did have some rarities on the list. the ipas were nice, the hibiscus beer was a treat, and the strong ales were interestingly malted. all of very good quality, none that knocked me over with a big WOW! food looked solid, but we didn't eat. the décor is minimal, so sound bounces off the high ceilings when its full, and I found myself almost shouting to be heard by my table, but that's a testament to how successful this place is getting, not a knock. id love to see some outside seating, additional bar staff, and perhaps some wall treatments for sound, but other than that, we had a great time, and enjoyed the beer thoroughly. I would be happy to go back anytime.

Visited on a Sunday around "brunch" time. Sorry i hate that term... After a long weekend. Enjoyed many 4oz tastings. Found every one of them to be carefully crafted and delicious. Each variety of IPA was different yet well within the realm of a tasty, bitter, creamy, piney IPA. Like I said it was an end to a long weekend and I waited too long to review. Double Fist is delicious. Think HT without the creamy finish. Dos Osos danced on the tongue with a two step of carbonation and light bitterness. My favorite surprise of the day was Rosa Hibuscus. I was blown away by the balanced flavor of this one. Sweet yet not overpowering. It tasted like it looked. RED. Any questions...just ask a 3 year old.

Some people absolutely love going here... I, on the other hand, Do not.
I want to, believe me. Anti-Hero is one of my absolute favorite beers, and I dig a lot of the other beers that they make. However, there are some things that really bother me.
Small portions, coupled with high prices. Yes, I get that you're painting sauces on my plate and arranging shit on top of it, but this is a brewpub. I don't want to pay twenty dollars for three ounces of meat and some veg, with three different sauces. Id you're going to charge 11 dollars for a burger, please make it larger than 8 ounces. Food does taste good, though.
The service SUCKS. Think super ultra angry combat boot hipster ladies hating every second that they're there. Ughhhh. Sorry for offending you with my existence.
Any of the non-distro beers that I've had from their brewpub, save the ten dollar 8 oz pour of some bourbon quad a long time ago, have been crap. Like, undrinkable crap. Had a few people on either side of us, plus us, decide to not finish the beers they ordered. Blech.
SO many better places to go in chicago.

The very first thing you notice when you enter the revolution brewpub is the atmosphere. Very nice place. The food selection and quality are outstanding. Their beer selection is quite extensive, however they did not have very many barrel aged or limited stuff on tap on my visit. For the most part their beers were good, with a couple of so so beers. They usually have some cask conditioned stuff if u ask. Overall if you are into craft beer, you should definitely hit this place up. Nice experience.

Love coming by the Brewpub for a few drafts or a growler to go. I have yet to eat there, hopefully soon. Service is usually pretty good. The beer is always nice and fresh. They have a nice full service bar, in case you're with people who aren't the biggest beer fans. Seems like there's a little something for everyone here. One of my current favorite places to go in the city.

Don't know how i have avoided this place for so long. Sunday at 11 am, place is full. Cool atmosphere, great selection of Revolution stuff on tap as well as a good bottle selection of others. I thought their Paddy Wagon stout on tap that I had was just a bit too cold; could just be my personal taste there. They DO have a kids menu, although it's not listed on the website menu (basically burger, pizza, chicken tenders ... standard kids fare). Food is high-end bar food. I had some really nicely breaded fish n chips. Quality cod there too, not the cheap stuff. Good fries. Service was a bit spotty and indifferent for my liking, but still pleasant. A few big, well-placed TVs showing the Bulls game. Street parking is in relatively decent supply, for Chicago.

Every time I am anywhere near Wicker Park I demand that we go here, and I have so far got numerous people hooked on going here. The food is great, I recommend the pulled pork burger and also the fish and chips. The service here is amazing and this place is huge for a brew pub, it is two floors and is packed every time I go in. As for the beer, whats not to love! I am a anti hero addict and their wheat beer as well as porter are also top notch. Another interesting thing about this place is their mug club rules, I advise looking into it if you can make it there a few times a year, it has a lot of benefits for the price of $20 a year.
You must find your way here it is great, such a great mixed atmosphere but do not be shocked when you are spending around $15 for a burger and $5 a pint.

The atmosphere is pretty good, however it is quite a bit dark upstairs. I like places that are a little better lit, as I tend to just do some work or write as well.
Quality was fantastic, I don't really have any cons, I just feel that relative to other places I've been the quality wasn't AS high. However, for a brewpub it's definitely exceptional.
Service was great, bartender was very attentive, but mis-placed my samples, at least I hope. The Pale Ale and Bottom Up seemed to not match up to their descriptions.
Selection is very detailed, I was going there mainly for their beer so I didn't take notice of other beers. Food selection is also good, but limited to Burgers/Pizzas, typical brewpub I guess.
Food was amazing. I had the Hombre burger, and it was the right level of spiciness. The burger was huge, and after drinking beer man I was more than full. They also had SOO many fries, and their fries have some spice to them which was fantastic.
Price really reflects me as a college student, Burger was $13, and I generally see sub-$10 prices for burgers. Beer was a bit high for my price but sample prices were suitable.
My first brewpub ever, and it was an awesome experience. I'm pumped to get into the beer game and Revolution was a fantastic start.
Edit: I wasn't happy about the overall score, being my first review I wanted to make sure it reflected that I thought exceptionally of this brewpub.
