On nitro tap at the Kedzie brewery; review from written notes.
Black with a reddish brown glint at the bottom of the glass. Long lasting head of creamy khaki colored foam, finely textured and buoyant due to to the nitrogen. A little bit of spotty lacing.
Aroma is fairly nondescript, mellow roasted grain husks.
Mellow carbonation, mild flavors. Creamy texture due to the nitro again. Light roast and husky grain, slightly floral with a vague bitterness, dry aftertaste. Pretty simple, not far off from Left Hand Nitro Milk stout. Not much flavor or complexity, but that's typical for the style.

Served in a pint glass at Revolution 4/19/12.
A: Served a deep cola brown with one finger of light khaki colored foam on top. Incredible lace left behind in the glass!
S: Deeply roasty malt, light coffee, and dark chocolate. Nice.
T: Exactly as above.
M: Smooth and exceedingly silky.
O: Not overly complex but very comforting. The nitro pour was perfect for this beer. I would love to try a cask pour of this sometime, though...

poured from nitro-tap into a pint glass. Pours a medium chocolate color.
Very well balanced with real nice aromas of chocolate, coffee grinds, and roasted malts. Not overly complex, but with good depth and every note hitting right
Really nice medium/full feel. Smooth with balanced flavors of coffee and roasted malts. It's lacking a slight bit in the middle and not that complex, but the flavors are still quite good
A quality Irish Stout. This was the best stout on tap and it was also the lowest abv as well. Rev did a real damn good job on this one and hopefully it's around for a while

On nitro-tap at the brewpub. Served in a pint glass.
A - Typical nitro pour with the persistent tan foam and solid lacing. Darker than most Irish Dry Stouts, but with that faint ruby transparency. Not much else you could ask for from this sort of brew.
S - Dark chocolate, light caramel, hint of coffee and cream, and a light smoke character. It's sweeter than your typical Irish dry, but still quite enjoyable. Perhaps a touch understated as well.
T - Taste is fairly similar, with dark chocolate, coffee, roasted and charred malts, and light floral hopping. Ends with a pleasant espresso bitterness that lingers.
M - Smooth, medium-light body, but with some uncharacteristic grittiness that I didn't expect from a nitro beer. Finishes quite creamy.
D - This is a nice beer that I would definitely order again if I were in the mood. It's a nice take on the style, and the slightly higher sweetness is quite appealing to me. Recommended!

Nitro @ Rev. Poured into a Mug Club imperial pint.
A - Pours black, light cream-colored head, nice thick cap and lacing along the sides of the glass. Looks like a chocolate milk shake with whip cream on top. Yummy!
S - Roast, slight oak, chocolate, malts, slight dark chocolate bitterness.
T - Dark chocolate, roasted malts, some coffee notes, touch of oak.
M - Medium, smooth, creamy finish.
D - A wonderful Irish Dry Stout that I could drink all day long. It's smooth and rich yet still easily drinkable, which makes it top-notch in my book. The low ABV helps as well. Recommend.

Nitro tap at the pub... This is a stunner. Dark brown almost black body with an unreal head. The head is a dark egg shell that has amazing retention and the super thick head the coats the class to the base of the beer throughout the entire drink... The aroma is a touch weak but gives off some nice roasted chocolate notes, wish a bit more was going on... The taste is very good, lots of chocolate with a very dry sensation that is wonderful...Great mouthfeel.
This is worth trying.
