Bright golden and clear color with a heavy white head. There was actually quite a bit if sticky lacing.

Heavy yeast aroma with banana and clove. There a nice tropical fruit scent, too.

Banana, band aid, clove, and really sweet tropical fruit that reminded me of a way overripe mango.

The mouthfeel is syrupy and sticky. Low carbonation.

Overall, a good beer but the sweetness was a bit off for a saison.

A: Gorgeous vibrant orange. Completely opaque with hazy - the edges are bright yellow and the center is radiant orange. A glowing beer. The is a fizzy and foamy bright white, but denser than a traditional saison.

S: Very refreshing, subtle and pleasant. A very fresh aroma with little must or funk. Orange peel, lemon zest, and very subtle coriander - very not-funky belgian yeast - bready.

T: Similar to the aroma - not very complex, but very refreshing and surprisingly full. Orange, lemon, bread/biscuit, and yeast.

P: Very creamy and full bodied for the style, and softer carbonation - and it works

O: An interesting example of the style - not breaking any boundaries or records, but a very solid

I got this 22oz brown bottle at Sal's Liquors in Addison, IL for $7.99. No freshness date.

The beer poured a hazy pale gold color with less than a ½-finger's worth of white head that dissipated quickly to a thin rim and left very little lacing.

The beer had a fruity smell with a whiff of spicy yeast, but overall there wasn't much to the smell.

It has some fruit flavor, but overall it's more spicy than fruity. It has an earthiness to it as well. There's a touch of alcohol in the finish and 50 IBU's worth of bitterness.

Medium mouthfeel, crisp, and with a dry finish. Carbonation is on the high side.

Not sure how saison-y it is, but I liked it.
