The second Rock Bottom I've been to. Dropped by here on a Friday lunch hour and the place was absolutely packed and this is no small place either. Atmosphere is grandiose for a brewpub, pseudo-formal in my opinion. I'm used to the rustic feel of the Lafayette Brewing Co. and this is something different. I had the Ma Stout as the other selections seemed uninspiring or sort of bland. The beer was pretty good and I wish I had time to venture into the other selections. Food portions were enormous again and generally good. You can't really beat the location but I wish for a wider selection of interesting(to me) beers. I know this is unfair as you can't please all. But I will definately be going to the Rock Bottom in Indy again, plus it got bonus points as my girlfriend really enjoyed it (that's not too common).

This Rock Bottom is located in downtown Indianapolis near the Circle Center mall, and right across from Alcatraz Brewing Co (and not too far a walk from RAM either). Parking is either street or in one of the plentiful garages in the area.

The layout and atmosphere are similar to other Rock Bottom establishments. The bar is in the rear of the building and it has a chalkboard to let you know what beers are available. The brew works are in the center of it all. The theme seems to be southwestern/outdoorsy, with lots of posters and pictures depicting animal life and outdoor locales.

This rock bottom has 6-7 beers in rotation at any given time, with one or 2 seasonals. Along with the beers found at every location like Raccoon Red, they do stray away from the norm with beers like a Chai Porter. Interesting! They offer a sampler and very cheap growlers too.

The service here was good, and I got a kick out of the waiter asking me if I was ready for a "big beer" after finishing the sampler. Har har. He was on top of things and even threw one of the samples in on the house which I thought was nice.

We didn't try the food at this location, but the menu looked pretty much the same as the others.

Just your average run of the mill great Rock Bottom. This one has great service and is in the hot spot for Indy convention type traffic. The building and staff are top notch and the brewing is a centerpiece here. As with the other Rock Bottoms you can expect to be treated well and receive good quality for your money. Lots of entertainment possibilities with TVs placed around the area. Beers are available in a sampler array if you'd like to be sure what to try. Always worth a visit.

This is a great brewpub! One of my favorites. Features great food (I highly recommend the asiago cheese dip and beer bread) and a good selection of drafts. They almost always have a few specialty brews on tap, including a cask-conditioned brew, which includes their seasonal selection. They have 6 regular beers in the popular styles (pale, wheat, brown, stout), but look at the blackboard over the bar for cask, seasonal, and experimental brews. There's a lot of seating and the wait is usually not to long, if any. The downstairs area has pool tables, a bar, and a few more tables in case you feel like getting loud. Great location in downtown Indy, excellent food, friendly staff, and top quality beer make this place an instant winner in my book.

This is a solid brewpub, and a fun place to hang. It's large enough to have a wide selection of 'atmospheres' - wild and rucous near the bar, quiet and relaxing in some of the 'out of the way' corners and the outdoor seating (really just a couple of spots on the sidewalk surrounded by a thigh-high fence), and a great hangout/mini pool hall in the basement. Plenty of TVs for the sports fans, and areas where you don't even notice a tube. Beer selection is good - they've got the standard brews with a bit of local color as well as a seasonal or two and a couple of special cask conditioned ales. And the beers are all quality. I've had one or two that I didn't really care for, but they were certainly not bad beers - just not my personal favorites. Service is always good - lunch, dinner, late night, or off hours. The food is great, with a wide variety of food - much, much more than typical pub fare. If you're a first time visitor - go for the beer sampler, you won't be dissapointed!
