Poured from a 20z bottle, this beer fills my new Lagunitas doggie "Beer speaks, people mumble" glass a nice clear amber color capped with a one-finger head - it has a surprisingly nice texture not usually found in an IPA, a creamy fluff that pillows in tiny-bubbled mounds. Lacing comes in thin horizontal stripes.
The scent is all orange and a touh of grapefruit, with some creamy malty flavors and honey.
A soft flavor in the eginning, lifting to a slightly spicy and acidic mixture of hops and bakground malts; The hops don't totally dominate, but they are prevalent, grapefruity and crisp, and just enough to make a beefy IPA. As the beer warms, a sweet maltiness comes through in the finish, very sticky and lingering.
The mouthfeel is smooth, oily, and very, very, very sticky. Your lips are sheened with a thin layer of stickiness each time you sip, and it clings to your mouth, the aftertaste building to a wonderful sweetness.
This is a great IPA, balanced, hoppy enough to satisfy any conesseur. Cali keeps on doing it right.

Bottle > Sensory Pilsner glass
A - Pours a reall nice light amber color, foamy two finger head of an off white color, lots of nice lacing going on.
S - Lemon peel, a light sweet malt, some pine, and a little musk and spice.
T - Well balanced between some light malt, mild bitterness and good hop flavor. The pine and light tangerine flavor is most notable from the hops, and some biscuity malt as well.
M - Coats your mouth with a nice balance of flavor and feel. Perfect to session as well.
O - Solid single IPA, cannot go wrong at all with this.
