Imbibed at Good Karma on 10/10/12, reviewed from notes.
Completely clear pale yellow with little head. Signature Lagunitas sweetness in the nose, a little bit of spiciness. I can't tell if there's Belgian or American yeast since there's some spice, but not as much as I would expect from a Belgian. I get a light flavor to start, some definite wheatiness with some light spice from the yeast. Lagunitas' patented sweet malt is mixed in, but I'm not put off by it the way I thought I would be. I'm usually not a fan of sweetness and wheat, but this isn't sweetness added by syrup or concentrate, so I guess that helps. the burp signifies some hoppiness, but it's easy on the tongue. This is well balanced in the feel and finish.
I liked this more than I thought I would, but it's not a special kind I beer like their SF Fusion was last year. Also, I would categorize this as an American Crystal Wheat due to the appearance and hop presence.

On tap for the 4th Annual LA Beer Week Beer Festival at Union Station in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a clear orange-yellow with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Thin rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and honey. Taste is much the same with a mild hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer that is really tasty and drinkable.

@ Tyler's (Raleigh)
Surprised to stumble upon this one.
Gold color with a small white head on top. The bartender remarked, "you can smell the hops coming off this one" and he was right. Flowery, sticky, green, fresh hop aromas rise from the glass...lemon, pine, and fruit. Hop pellet freshness in the mouth. Slight pale malt sweetness, a hint of wheat, lemony citrus, and pine. Medium-light body, moderate bitterness and carbonation. Nothing mind blowing, but a solid, hoppy, green surprise to find on tap in NC.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a semi-hazy yellow color with less than a half-inch of white head that had good retention and light lacing.
The aroma was very hop forward, mostly pine and lemon, with almost no grain showing through. The flavors were the same, mostly the hops and just traces of grain and yeast.
The body was light and smooth, but did leave a slightly sticky finish that lingered a bit too much. Drinkability was pretty good, nice and easy. Overall, a decent brew that you could easily have a few of if you were in the mood. Worth a shot if you see it.

On Tap
Churchill's Pub & Grille
San Marcos, CA
Clear dark orange with a moderately-sized, big-bubbled head, eventually leaving sheets of lace down the glass. Gorgeous IPA.
Wonderful aroma, with the Citra hops really leading the way. Big, pungent tropical/passion fruit aromas lead (pineapple?), along with a bit of cracker/wheat subtlety.
The flavor too is quite nice, but not quite as strong or powerful as the aroma. Again, big notes of passion/tropical fruit flavors dominate, pineapple and grapefruit, along with a bit of wheat and cracker.
Mouthfeel is perhaps the one place where this beer is lacking. The mouthfeel seems a touch thin and watery, especially as it warms, at least for the style.
A great surprise from Lagunitas; a decent California substitute for Zombie Dust.

This beer comes off to me as a tamer version of Sumpin Sumpin. It's got that crisp wheat beer feel and flavor profile. That trademark Lagunitas hopping is definitely there too, but it's got less of a bite. Definitely a pleasant drinker for these waning summer days, but it's nothing special.

On tap at the source.
A: Pours clear pale yellow with a fine 1/2-inch white head which leaves trace spotty lace.
N: Plenty of juicy citrus and floral notes.
T: Tangerine and grapefruit followed by some malty sweetness.
M: Light body and moderate carbonation. Just a bit thin for me.
O: Pleasant aroma. Very good.

One of the experimental brews on tap at the sanctuary. Remember kids, today’s experiments become tomorrow’s favorites...
This pours a clear golden color with decent lacing from the leftover foam. I get a great vibrant hop aroma full of grassy notes. The flavor has some grassiness to it too, but it’s kept light with the effervescence. I enjoyed this one.
