On-tap at the brewery.
A: Served a lightly hazy dark orange with a thick white head that slowly faded into a fuzzy film leaving decent lacing.
S: A banana lovers beer. The nose is full of overly ripened bananas, pungent banana skins, and a good dose of clove. Very sweet and sugary smelling.
T: Again, there is just a stupidly delicious amount of ripe banana. The wheat comes through in a banana bread-like way. The finish is a bit warm with alcohol and reminds me of bananas foster. I get a note or two of cinnamon mixed with the clove as well.
M: Thicker body, viscous mouth, thin carbonation and a bit of warm alcohol.
O: Really interesting and potent flavors. This would make a great dessert beer.

This is a very good brew. Simply put if you want a top notch Weizen this is your beer. Availability is good and it compares with some of the best. I have had MANY different brews and this is a top 100 beer.
I drank it right out of the bottle not thinking much but after a mouthful I realized this was an above average beer. I have had it since then and it pours a good head, good smell and has little after bite. A good beer from Lagunitas.

I enjoyed my first Lagunitas a couple weeks ago and now I decided to give their Weizen a shot.
Appearance - Very very yellow! I am used to a bit more orange but its look is unique and interesting especially when the off white to tan head comes up.
Smell - I really enjoyed this smell! It has the scent of berries, crisp lemons, and wheat.
Taste - The taste is great at first of the same flavors of the smell but it disappears to a very flat metalic taste. Only if the first flavors stuck around for a minute or two..
Mouthfeel - A good amount of carbonation to match and keeps the flavor continued.
Overall - This is delicious smelling beer, one of the best scents out there but everything else seems to lack a bit.

Poured into a pint glass, it has a nice clear golden body with little carbonation and a beautiful, thick off white head which is bubbly and slowly dissipates. I pick up hints of banana bread, hops, and some citrus fruits to include: grapes, grapefruit and oranges. It has a medium to heavy body that just envelopes your tongue and really warms up your mouth with that alcohol feeling. It’s bitter in the corners of your mouth and tart in its aftertaste, but fairly smooth overall.
