Pours a clear light orange, with a moderate head made up of small interlocking bubbles. Aroma is hoppy, with some big citrus notes (I'm picking up oranges) coming to the forefront. The wheat character is there, but it's subdued. If I was tasting this blind I probably would call it an IPA or Pale Ale based on the aroma. Taste is pretty stunning. I had several of these the other day and they went down smooth and easy. This beer is bursting at the seams with flavor, with huge fruity IPA notes hitting the palate first, chased by wonderful malt that's highlighted by the wheat. Not all that bitter, which is nice in a beer like this. The second sip showcases more of the hop profile, with big pine and grass notes this time. Malt flavor errs on the sweet side rather than the dry, which means that this one goes down quick and easy - and at 7.3% ABV that's something you may want to monitor. Carbonation is relatively high, but given the wheat character and malt sweetness, that's actually welcome. Tastes like an IPA but it's easy to drink like a Wheat Beer. Fantastic and unique.

Average head, which maintained. Plenty of lacing. Pours a beautiful deep golden color. The smell was understated. An interesting combination of fruity/hoppy flavor. The citrus fruitiness cuts the hoppy bitterness for a delicate balance that was quite drinkable. The 7.5% ABV was surprising. I was looking for a spring/summer ale to replace my beloved quads, and this just might fit the bill.
