Poured into a pint glass (12 oz.)

This beer is a rich golden brew with a minute amount of cloudiness to it, looks great and shiny, with a solid 3/4 inch of paper white head after an aggressive pour.

Smells of rich honey, pineapple and grapefruit, with a mild sweet cream aroma as it warms up. As soon as I cracked the cap, I could smell a robust sweet hop blast. I can't wait to try this.

Flavors are huge on this. Sour pear is the first thing I taste, followed by all of the fruity notes I mentioned in the smell. The hop finish is extremely dry, but the draw is full of sweet fruit flavors. It has a crispy wine flavor as well, with a raw honey note that comes out strong on the palate a few sips in. A woodsy apricot flavor lingers as well.

Mouthfeel is very balanced and smooth, like a sparkling wine almost, but with some gusto. I would imagine this is wonderfully easy drinking on tap, and would go down very fast.

Overall, this beer is outstanding, and quite a surprise for me. I remember trying Hop Stoopid and being blown away by it as well, and this further solidifies the hype surrounding Lagunitas beers for me. I will definitely recommend it to winos and hop lovers as I find this to be a great well-rounded brew.

Poured into a beer mug.

Appearance: Pours to a two finger off-white head with a golden/orange body; looks really great.

Smell: I smelled plenty of the expected citrus and pine notes; plenty of grapefruit peel.

Taste: Acidic citrus, very floral and hoppy with a malty appearance at the tail end. Crisp and tart overall.

Mouthfeel: Quite carbonated; smooth and refreshing.

Overall: Really great; I would buy this one again. In all honesty, I'm more inclines to buy some Great Lakes Lake Erie Monster, but all the same this is an excellent beer.

Poured from a standard pressure-cap bottle into a conic pint glass in high elevation Kalispell, Mont. Reviewed live.

A- Two-finger fluffy off-white head with gripping lacing and large bubbles near the edge. Semi-cloudy golden color with lazy carbonation. Nice looking brew.

S- Floral hops, guava, fruity, tropical, maybe some gum, wheat and pomegranate. What a lovely, rich, full smell.

T- Wheaty, some alcoholic flavor, fruity and citrusy hops. Grapefruit. Kind of a clouded feeling beer.

M- Dry finish. Syrupy bodied.

O- Taste doesn't live up to the promise of the smell, but certainly not a bad beer.
