Purchased a 6'er of this last night and it was great!

A= Poured into a belgian tulip chalice, the beer exhibited a rich dark hazy amber color. The ample head relaxed into a fine white lace.

S= Aroma showed citrus concentration of hops, rich malt, brown sugar/caramel, and a hint of vanilla.

T= A very interesting combination of flavors somewhere between a barly wine and winter seasonal style. Rich and hoppy up front balanced with concentration of vanilla and caramel on mid palate with lingering essence of west coast cirtus.

M= A rich viscosity as represented by the "Imperial" style.

D= Easily qwaffed... this is a great stand-alone brew especially at the end of the day when a man wants to retire to his favorite easy chair! High ABV culminates in a "one and done!"

Again... Great job Lagunitas!!!

Lagunitas, you guys always swing for the fences and you almost always connect! At 9+ ABV this is easy to drink, even though the alcohol presence is noticeable. This beer looks strong, smells of candy and alcohol, and the taste and mouthfeel leave you wanting more! Another great beer in the Lagunitas line-up, but definitely a notch or two below Sucks and A Little Sumpin.

Served in my favorite snifter.

Appearance: A semi hazy amber, with heavy bubbles when placed against the light. Clears up pretty quickly with a nice deep off-white head rising to about one finger's length.

Smell: Hard floral feel, light sugar scent still comes off strong.

Taste: This brew is a instant malt bomb. Almost a sweet floral, grapefruit is nice and easy...how smooth are the flavors it's hard to to put the glass down. Not overly bitter,

Mouth: Feels like thirst quencher, wet hoppy at the end with a medium to full carbonation.

Overall: Drinking this again for the third time this week, I honestly have to take my hats off to Lagunitas for making a quality brew. It is definitely crept up on me and became one of my go to DIPAs. Have one on me and enjoy....Salud!

A - Amber and transparent clarity. Two finger head dissolves to a nitre lace

S - Spicy hops, cloves, cinnamon, red apple, musty, cognac

T - Juicy hops: mango, peach, guava. Roasty malt body. Semi-dry with a lingering Columbus-y bitterness

M - Mouth watering hop oil coat. Medium body with a firm alcohol burn that does not overwhelm
