A: golden with a tinge of brown, 1 and a half fingers of white head residing down to a few millimetres of foam covering the surface. slight haze with a medium carbonation present. really nice looking beer.

S: wow..! i cracked this one open and by no means was it close to my nose and i smelt the hop character! incredible! citrus notes with a twist of melon present. orange peal and a tiny pine character comes across as well! grapefruit and some spice presenting. i really cannot wait to try!

T: seemingly i cant fault this beer. huge notes of fruit varieties. pineapple, orange zest, and that melon flavour jumping in as well. quite dry and a overly heavy beer. 102 ibu isnt overly noticeable but in saying that the bitter characteristic is still there. close enough to being a hop bomb which i just love. the malt backing calming it down though. on the back of the tongue its a bit pine like and the citrus character follows through beautifully the whole beer. for 8% abv the alcohol is hardly noticeable.

M: not too heavy, perfectly carbonated! the only flaw being the sticky sensation but its hardly a flaw.

O: i love this beer! phenomenal! could drink a few bottles of this easily and i plan to in the near future! one i recommend to anyone as long as its fresh! just fantastic!

Bottle into a pint glass. Lives up to the hype. Big, hoppy flavor with citrus, mostly lemon. Nose mirrorsmthe and strength. Very sweet smell and taste that is a bit unique for an IPA, but awesome. Mouthfeel was fairly easy going for an imperial. Get down.

A - Orange-copper in color, an aggressive pour leads to a 1 finger head that dissipates into a nice sticky lace ring. Coated the glass all the way down.

S - A heavy dose of Citra hops, and a caramel sweetness.

T - Bright and tangy. Much sweeter than I expected, hop notes are there, but the bitterness is not. I even pick up an almost strawberry flavor, delicious.

M - Easy drinking, especially at this ABV. Just sweet enough, not cloying at all. Finish is fresh and wet.

O - A West Coast IIPA suitable for hot weather drinking around here. Not so weighty feeling that I have to wait for cooler times, and I really appreciate that.

22oz bottle poured into a snifter

Appearance
Golden straw with 2 fingers of off-white head that dissipates quickly. Excellent clarity and moderate carbonation.

Nose
Dank, pineapple, papaya, tangerine, lemon and candy sugar.

Taste
Candied citrus, pineapple, papaya, tangerine and lemon. Thin candy sugar backbone with drops of caramel and toast. Dank resinous pine and lemon zest finishes it off.

Mouthfeel
Light-medium bodied, crisp and dry.

Overall
Packed full of hops with just a tiny malt profile to balance things out. Very quaffable for 8.0% and a great value at $5.99/22oz bottle.

The color is a beautiful ruby orange with a finger of head.

The aroma is of tropical fruit, grapefruit, dank hoppiness, floral hops, herbacious hops, a bit of resin, and Simcoe pineyness. It’s a very refreshing aroma.

The flavor is of malt, then big grapefruit and some citrus peel. There's some pine and grassiness. The balance is just fantastic. It’s so well balanced.

The finish is clean, easy, and dry. It lingers a bit, but it doesn’t have a stickiness. It’s very dry however, but it has a lovely finish. Don’t get me wrong, it is quite bitter, but it’s exciting. Despite its ABV and bitterness, it is pretty easy to drink.

I really recommend this. This is up there with some of the best West Coast Double IPAs out there. For value, this is one of the best Double IPAs, or even beers in general, you can get at $5-6 a bomber.
