12 oz bottle poured into Lagunitas Mason Jar.

Pours crystal clear copper color, 1/2" off-white head dissipated after about a minute leaving behind thin layer of foam, lots of lacing left sticking around the top of the glass.

Smell is more hops than malt with some spicy grapefruit coming through right away. A little yeast and caramel malt are noticeable but faint.

Taste is a bit more balanced but still has some prominent hops. Grapefruit up front, some sweet caramel and fresh biscuit, more yeast, earthy/piny bitter finish. 7.8% abv is hidden well.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied (although lighter bodied for the style). Average carbonation and clean.

Overall I enjoyed this beer. It's a red IPA. I personally would have liked the same hop presence with a little more malt sweetness to balance it out. Easy drinking for being a bigger beer.
