Poured form a bomber bottle and into a tulip glass it pours a pretty, dark coffee color with a nice bubbling, mostly dense tan head at the surface. Nice cascading in the glass as I poured. Sticky lacing on the glass as it dissipates to a slightly foamy surface layer.

Lots of coffee and toffee malt on the nose. A bit of dark grapes on the nose also of note, but to be honest, rather boring nose. Some char also to note on the nose.

Sipping reveals a very chocolatey and coffee flavor taht really hits my taste buds. Finish is dry and a bit thin. Expected a bit more.

Body is full, but actually just a tad thin for a full-bodied brew (if that makes sense). A bit of alcohol phenols on the finish.

Overall, not a bad brew, but i've had better Lagunitas. Nothing very exceptional.

Poured from 22 oz bottle into tulip glass.

A: Poured dark brown that settled to almost black in the glass. Nice frothy two finger tan head with some lacing.

S: Coffee and chocolate very apparent. Some roasted malts, caramel, and maybe a hint of vanilla.

T: Again the coffee is fairly prominent. Chocolates are also big leaning towards milk chocolate or cake like flavors. A bit of caramel and nice roasted flavors you would expect with coffee stout.

M: Medium body with fair carbonation. I might have preferred a bit thicker and fuller, but it is easy drinking. So much so, that the ABV can sneak upon you.

O: Very nice coffee stout. I might prefer Founders Breakfast Stout, or Espresso Yeti a bit more, but this one is an enjoyable brew!
