Deep brown to black body is nearly impenetrable to light; the hearty brown carbonation develops in to a very appealing, yet thin white head that appears very sticky in its trail of lacing.

As advertised, hearty coffee and malt aromas are dominant with some faint nuttiness and roasted scents as well.

Very pleasant flavor, slightly sweet and nutty to compliment the malt and coffee bite, but also a faint bread aspect to this brew as well.

Thick & chewy mouthfeel, strong flavor characteristics and a full body are somewhat aggressive on the palate; yet very enjoyable.

This is a darn good beer and a great value at just a few bucks per 22oz. Perfect serving if you're looking to enjoy something full of flavor character and are ready to only have a beer or two.

Poured from 22 oz bottle into tulip glass.

A: Poured dark brown that settled to almost black in the glass. Nice frothy two finger tan head with some lacing.

S: Coffee and chocolate very apparent. Some roasted malts, caramel, and maybe a hint of vanilla.

T: Again the coffee is fairly prominent. Chocolates are also big leaning towards milk chocolate or cake like flavors. A bit of caramel and nice roasted flavors you would expect with coffee stout.

M: Medium body with fair carbonation. I might have preferred a bit thicker and fuller, but it is easy drinking. So much so, that the ABV can sneak upon you.

O: Very nice coffee stout. I might prefer Founders Breakfast Stout, or Espresso Yeti a bit more, but this one is an enjoyable brew!
