The beer poured into the glass slightly hazy pale golden amber with a white and low head which worked well to lace the glass.
The aroma was caramel maltiness with a spicy hop aroma which also contained a nice citrus aspect.
The flavor was nicely done with a malt presence which contained a caramel malt component that was balanced with a slightly citrus and earthy to almost woodsy hop bittering and flavor. The bittering was low and in the background and well done to craft this beer.
The finish was dry with a lasting low citrus and earthy hop flavor coupled with a caramel impression into the afteraste. The body was medium and well done. A nice pale ale that doesn't push the enveloped yet created an interesting and highly drinkable concoction. If this were available more readily it would be the go to beer when I desired a more malty pale ale.
12 ounce bottle.

This is the old version of the pale ale. The newer one is muchc better. Pours copper, 1/2" white head. Aroma was all c hops, not the huge dry hop varied blast you get in the 2.0 version.
Taste had a lot more grain feel and two row going on before, because it was lighter hopped and all that. Toasty, woody malt tones that aren't heavy. This was a beer dangerously close to being an English pale ale back in the day.
