Poured 12 oz. bottle into my official La Fin du Monde tulip.
A: Medium dark golden and hazy. Pretty heavy carbonation pours into a 3 finger bubbly white head. Settles fairly quickly into a full layer of white foam leaving no cling as it does. Carbonation continues to rise. Spotty lacing pretty much retreats back into the body as you drink.
S: Yeast, light malt, banana, apple, and clove.
T: Very yeasty, light hoppiness, lightly sweet malty goodness with a subtle spice.
M: Light in the mouth. Yeast really introduces itself, then a light hop, sweet but pungent malt. Not a strong alcohol taste. Carbonation really brings the bouquet to the nose. Slightly dry finish, and not a strong aftertaste.
D: Outstanding drinkability. Great flavor, really easy drinkin'.
Great flavor, great nose, and great feel. Light on the palette, without sacrificing taste. No strong alcohol taste, despite the alcohol content. Really subdued aftertaste, makes you to want to drink more to get back to that yeasty goodness. This is a really great quaff.

Serving Type - 341ml bottle poured into tulip glass.
Appearance - Pours a cloudy, deep yellow-golden colour. Almost verging on orange. A good three fingers of fluffy white head float on top, and dissipate at a medium rate.
Smell - A truly astounding and complex aroma. I'm sure I'm in over my head here, but here it goes: Light orange peel, coriander, heavy spices (specifically what I can't say exactly) and a good dose of booze.
Taste - Alcohol up front, wich gets even more intense as the beer warms. This is followed by some hints of citrus, mostly bits of orange. A heavy spice flavour is present from start to finish. Other reviewers have pointed out a heavy yeast flavour which I wouldn't have picked up on otherwise, but which is definitely there, in a big way.
Mouthfeel - Heavy carbonation leaves for a crisp, bordering on sharp finish. Mouthfeel is dangerously light, almost fluffy. The beer seems to glide on the tongue.
Overall - 4.5/5
