Sienna color, some deposits. Freshly picked raspberries on the nose.

Mouth but very flat, watery with just a light scent of raspberry.

No aftertaste. No body. In any case, it sounds ephemeral in the mouth. No aftertaste. No body. In any case, it sounds ephemeral in the mouth.

Drank from my Duvel Tulip.

A - Pours a golden colour with small head that dies quickly.

S - Sweet jam aromas of strawberry.

T - Plenty of stawberries and not a lot else.

M - Light body with heaps of fizz.

D - Would not have another but would be ok with Ice cream

Thanks for the bottle TURG! Hazy brown liquid lays beneath a foamy, slight off-white head. Some lacing left behind. Boquet of fresh raspberries and candy. Marked unibroue yeast in the mouth, with mildly sweet raspberry flavours. Good carbonation. FInish is a tad watery. Pretty good. Merci Francois!

Not being a big fan of fruit beers, i nontheless decided to try out this one, being a fan of most of Unibroue's products. First of the nose is very faint compared to other raspberry beers i've tried. Then the taste, just as faint ... you can mostly taste a syrupy substance, more than raspberries per say! The color is this beer's best attribute as far as i'm concerned.

Not bad, but definitly not up to Unibroue's usual standards. A visit at my friend Pat Dunnigan's place in Bromont, Quebec and there you'll find a frambozen worthy of mention!!!

A - Very hazy light orange golden colour poured into a Unibroue tulip with a couple of centimetres of white head that falls away fairly fast.
S - Sweet raspberry smell dominates.
T - Unfortnantly the smell doesn't continue into the taste. It's there but much more subdued. A bit of wheat & some tartness.
M - Pretty light mouthfeel, slightly sticky, medium to high carbonation.
D - Nice beer but not something I'd drink on a regular basis.

Two finger head that dies out completely within two minutes. Absolutely no lace at all. Orange/light amber color; very cloudy

The initial smell reminds me of opening the door for the first time in the spring. Afterwards, I detect a sourness that is quite dissimilar to typical framboise in that there is little raspberry. The aroma is virtually gone after the head has died out.

Very high carbonation with almost a soda-like flavor; very thin body considering. Strong sour cherry tastes. The aftertaste dies very quickly, but it starts as sweettart.

If you like fruity sodas, you may like this one. I believe that the lack of body and the high carbonation detracts from any possibility of a decent beer. Beyond that disadvantage, the flavor is one dimensional to me.

750ml bottle poured into tumblers.
Drank on our beer tour of Quebec City.

The color of this brew is a very pleasing rosy amber. Fine foam rises and recedes to a ring. Aroma of raspberries and malt give a good indicaton of what's to come, but the smell is not overpowering or artificial. This is quite a light-bodied brew, a tad watery, quite refreshing and better on the cold side. Nicely dry. Fruity raspberry up front and in the finish, with a crisp dry ale in the middle, lots of fine bubbles. The mouthfeel is very carbonated with a creamy mousse of foam.

I prefer the raspberry flavor in a beer like this to the apple version; somehow this berry seems more suited to beer. A nice and very natural taste, integrates well and makes this quite pleasing when you are loking for a crisp fruit beer. The only downside is the wateriness...a bit more body would be nice.

Drank this recently on my vacation in Florida. A single 12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass/tumbler. The beer pours a cloudy light to medium golden color. Head was very large when poured. Extremely large. So large I had to let it settle some to make room before I could finish pouring the rest of the beer in the glass. Head settles to a good film layer/surface cover. Apple and spicy aromas are certainly present, maybe a hint of cinnamon. Obviously it also tastes like apples with some tart and a bit of spice and is rounded out by a touch of floral hop bitterness. Has a crisp, full bodied mouthfeel with heavy carbonation. very easy to drink. I certainly enjoyed this beer.

Appearance - A clear golden hue, with a nice frothy head.

Smell - As you'd imagine, like a fresh cut Granny Smith apple.

Taste - As you'd imagine, like a fresh cut Granny Smith apple. Ok, ok, I'll put a bit more effort into it. It reminded me of Original Sin hard apple cider (which is really good on tap), with a champagne-like quality. Very sweet, but the body was light enough that it did not overwhelm. Good, but it felt like it needed a little bit more depth, like an apple pie without cinnamon.

Mouthfeel - Perhaps a bit too dry, but crisp enough to make up for it.

Drinkability - If it was not so expensive (and let's face, it's actually pretty decently priced), I could down this stuff like water.

Overall, it's one of the best fruit beers I've ever tried. Now, my experience in fruit beers is very limited, but I can honestly say this is a solid beer.

--Came in a standard 341 ml bottle that came in the variety pack
--cloudy, reddish in color. Had a slim head with minor lacing.
--the smell is, obviouslly raspberry but that is very enjoyable and kind of the point.

This beer is not as good as I was expecting. I have had better seasonal fruit beers. I would drink it again but there are better. Thx.

this rating is for the apple..raspberry to follow

very pale, very hazy yellow with a smaller head than what I'd expect from this brewer..some particulate floating around as well.

Smell of ripe apple and not much else.

Taste of tart apple, follwed by a hint of dry hop bitterenss, and after a while..ripe apple.

mouthfeel was a bit too fizzy for my liking, but overall this was drinkable..would fancy one on a hot 35 C Medicine Hat July afternoon.
