From the minute you walk in you will feel right at home. I've been coming to Cervezas for about 6 months now, the service is great all the bartenders know my boyfriend and I by name already and have knowledge of our taste in beer so they are always helpful in recommending a new beer they receive. They have an extensive selection of over 350 beers to choose from and 16 beers on tap that are always constantly changing on a monthly basis, they are always updating their menus. Every month they also hold a beer tasting which includes 15 beers and food for $20.00 (beers change every month.) They also host different events each month from different breweries which is always something to look forward too as they invite the brewers themselves to host the night. The bartenders have been working there for a long time and all have extensive beer knowledge. The owner Carlos is there on most nights he is truly passionate about what he does and keeps the place running great! Thursday nights are a hit, as they hold karaoke nights to keep things fresh and fun. The only thing this place doesn't have is food, but there are many local food spots near by that will deliver free of charge to the bar. The prices are a bit pricey at times but you get what you pay for and this place is definitely worth it!!!

Note: This bar is now named "Brewskies "
(the change occurred about a month as of this review)
Intro: I was born in this (some say?) great city of Miami, but left it for what I thought to be greener pastures to go to school in the capital, Tallahassee. And granted, I have so far, had a great time in that city (Its where I learned of my love for making Homebrew!), but I always knew that Id have to return and loose all the great bars I have come to love in tally
Granted I wont be leaving for a bout a years (Assuming that I don't get a brewing volunteer gig at the local brewing startup), but I like to plan ahead
and If I moved back to Miami, I was going to need a good bar...and really, for a beer lover who is scared to DEATH of drinking and driving, is not a easy proposition in Miami, the city that (used to?) long devoid of beer and navigated almost entirely by car.
A few places popped up near the metro rail, and this one had one of the best locations (Right in the middle of Sunset, right off the rail stop!)
So after a few attempts to head over their (they are closed), I stumbled in after lunch at titanic (It was the start of a small beer outing), I went to see if the place was good enough to replace my old favorites
In a word: fantastic. Its nice, small, and dominated by a large bar. their are more comfertable seats over on the side, but no room on the outside for sitting (unless you count nearby places. Its my kind of dark, lovely place to enjoy a fanatic brew and chat with like-minded people.
Its a biased score, but its how I think a bar should be
Quality: the quality of the beers was quite good. so was the quality of the furnature. overall quality was awesome (I guess. I never really got the point of this section of the review :P )
Service: Beer was poured perfectly, bartender served me very quickly (but then again, I was the only one at the bar at the time), and was very knowledgeable on the local beer scene. It was finally nice to talk to someone who knew his stuff when it comes to craft! that's exactly what I want when I go too a bar. I cant give it perfect marks because I was not their during peak hours, but I from my stay I felt that it would be a good and speedy service.
Beats the last place I went too (titanic)
Selection: wow. just wow. even just on the $4 list (which is where Istuck) it was insane. they have between 400-500 beers at this joint. and about 100 of them where $4 bottles...which suited me quite well
beer for all ocassions and everyone.
Food: None. but their is a LOT nearby. I didn't ask if they let in food but Id bet they wouldn't have a problem it wasn't too busy ^_^
$$$: It is very variable. most of the time it can get quite pricey, but on special days they have a LOT of $4 beers that fit a frugal person like me quite well.
Overall its between $-$$$, depending on the day and what you choose.
for Miami, its probably one of the cheaper places to get craft beer
Overall: did I find the perfect replacement for my tally bars? not quite
the prices aren't quite as good, and it needs more outside seating, but it IS one of the best bars in Miami.
Ill be going back to this one.
I recommended it

Although it's a small cozy bar, (from what I’ve experienced the many times I’ve gone) it's size helps keep out the overly rowdy crowd that just want to over indulge in 'generic' beer to get drunk. This bar is definitely geared towards attracting customers interested in enjoying craft beer with good company. The bartenders are very friendly and provide great suggestions, when you can’t seem to choose what to drink.

My wife and I went there last Sunday night. Sat outside with our dogs. Had some great beers. I had a Maharaja draft and then a bottle of Heavy Seas Loose Cannon. Wife had a Blue POint Toasted Lager. Very nice selection of bottled beers and a decent (apparently rotating) draft selection. Wasn't crowded at about 8:00 pm on Sunday and we had an enjoyable time. I can see where parking may be a problem when it is crowded, and I wish they had some snacks or something to chew on. All in all, however, a fine beer bar that I will return to as often as possible.

Went here with a friend and have been back a couple times. The atmosphere is great on a quiet night, I have been told that on typical busy nights it's not so great and seeing as how it is a fairly small place in South Miami that is entirely possible. They have a good variety of local beers as well as the bigger national and international crafts. Definitely one of the better selections I've seen in South Florida. The bartenders have been nice enough, sometimes they get a bit distracted and take a while to come over but it's not unbearable or anything. Overall this place is pretty decent and is a great place to head to on a Monday night for a few beers. It kind of reminds me of Stubbies in Gainesville, which is a really good thing.

With a selection of 300+ craft beers and constantly growing, you'll always find something new and exciting to drink. Recently they've expanded their tap selection to 16, including a nitro-tap. With monthly beer reviews and events, Cervezas truly is a beer aficionado's paradise.
Karoake Thursday's are also a big hit. The only downside is limited parking, a parking garage is less than a block away. If you're a UFC fan, they play all the UFC events and there's never a cover charge. Ask for a VIP card, after consuming 15 brews, 1 is on the house.

Located on Sunset (72nd Street) in South Miami. Has a very nice selection. They used to only have bottles but have now expanded to limited draft selections, which they rotate. The bartenders are very friendly and will offer opinions if asked. They have seats and tables outside with a TV . If you like craft beers this is a great place to go if you are in the area. Parking is limited, maybe the only negative but you can usually get a spot out in front. It is also located next to a few good restaurants so it is always a great place to start and end the night.

Place is much much smaller then your typical bar but it works. Almost 300 different beers. All bottles they only carry three taps. Selection is decent but a hell of a lot better then most places in Miami. Bartenders and owner are really friendly and know thier stuff. They also try and do their best to bring in what they like and/or what is rare. Only open Wednesday thru Sunday starting at 4 pm.
They do beer tastings there on the first Tuesday of every month.
Overall its a good place to come have a few.

all bottles at this place. a nice selection of micros and imports. didn't see many bombers but they had just opened last time i was there. seems overpriced for bottles, but it sure beats driving to the beach, coral gables, or the city. ok gables isnt that far from south miami but i'm lazy. the place is also a tad bit small, about as big as the abbey. it would be cool if they sold beer to go, minus the 'cork/cap' fee. otherwise cool people, nice location, good beer. this is just the kind of place south miami needed, hopefully locals will support it and keep them around.

A nice small bar in the middle of a busy area of South Miami, they have expanded the bar t include some tables outside which is nice. They have nice TVs with great vantages points for such a small place. Also, they teamed up with a nice restaurant next door to serve appetizers (I've never tried the food but it looks good). Each time I have gone all the bartenders are very friendly. The only drawback is that their vast selection is mostly in bottles. However, recently they have expanded their draft selection. They also have a pretty decent loyalty program. Every ten beers you have you get a free one.
