First had: growler shared at TJ's, Paoli, PA
I think the brewer from Prism was actually the one who shared this with me from the other side of the bar. I could've swore I'd had this one before, but apparently I hadn't. Oily brown-black pour, with a minimal head of soapy white bubbles. Nose is fairly subtle: bready, with notes of spice and sweet malts. I do looove wasabi, and it was nice to see a local beer brewed with it, however, the taste didn't really come out as I had hoped. It was still good, but just not what I expected. Roasty, woody, sweet malts and wheat are melded with spicy heat from the wasabi, that doesn't really burn too much or impart too much flavor, but you can definitely tell there's something different going on here. Medium body, with a bit of alcohol detectable. Pretty enjoyable overall, but a full glass of the stuff might be a bit much.

On-tap at the Dog and Bull in Croydon. Poured into a tulip. Poured a murky dark brown with a nice fluffy light brown heading that disappears just as fast as it was poured. Leaves some oil like rings but not head lacing.
Sweet malts and a touch of honey, subtle grain touches in the nose.
Taste has a nice roasty flavor to it but lacks depth. The added wasabi I guess adds some heat and alcohol to the tastebuds but not really that enjoyable. A nice grainy wheat flavor in the finish.
Mouth is thin and boozey , medium bodied and little carbonation.
Not too bad of a beer I think overall it just lacks depth, needs more of everything and little less on the hot alcohol.

The name made me want one, plus I love me some sushi and since there is supposed to be wasabi in the beer I had to try one.
A – Nice dark black color with a single fingered mocha colored head.
S – Very faint malty sweetness.
T – I didn’t taste any wasabi which I was hoping for. Nothing overpowering very faint roasted malt which was really nice.
M – The beer was not overly sweet nor bitter so it was really easy to drink.
O – I was hoping for more going into it. Overall pretty good but seemed like it was missing something.

Brewed as a fundraiser for a local girl with cancer, with UK hop Bramling Cross, and wasabi. Hence the name.
Served at the brewery tap-room in a snifter.
Appears very dark brown, almost black, with an off-white head. head dissipates to a thin ring around the glass, that stays to the end. Not really much aroma. Taste is a mix of dark malt and some wheat. Mild flavors though, and really I have a hard time picking up the wasabi. body is medium, lower carbonation. fairly smooth.
