July 30th, 2016 - A fine, crisp amber, this smacks of heavy bread flavors served on the seaside (and enjoyed on a retreat for our volunteer organization.) A malty, rich nose presents veins of caramel and fresh rubber, and the soft, foamy body offers a light sweetness, with a clean rice element, and a crispness that is refreshing.

From tasting notes 07/19/19
Had on-tap at Rock & Brews at LAX in Los Angeles, CA
Appearance - Served up in a standard pint, lightly hazed and copper in color with a thin, broken layer of suds. No lacing outside a few minuscule spots.
Smell - Sweet caramel and bready maltiness, lesser nuttiness and a hint of grassy and floral hops.
Taste - Follows the nose. Sweet malts that are mostly bready and with caramel sweetness. Hops touch with floral character. Nuttiness can be found toward the finish and in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation. Smooth, easy drinker with a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Fairly similar to Fat Tire, but not quite as nutty. Good drinker, but nothing particularly worth seeking out.

12-ounce can, undated. Pours a honey brown with amber tint. Light on the nose, with a bit of malt and a wisp of fruit, strawberry and white peach. Mildly bready on the palate, nothing displeasing but also nothing that really stands out. Balanced but unremarkable.

Bottle of unknown age at Redhouse BBQ into a mason jar. Good color, but no visible head. Very mute nose, with good flavor and mouthfeel. A better than average amber, but I won't be sampling again.
