On tap at Casual Pint, downtown Knoxville
Pours burnished orange. Clear, with minimal head, but a fine lace of foam.
Aroma of orange, tropical sweetness of mango/papaya. Floral and citrus hops. Graham crackery, or maybe animal cracker malt.
Citrus and piney hops upfront, orange peel bitterness. Faint caramel malt struggles to break through. A bit of honey is quickly buried by resiny hops that border on aspirin astringency.
Medium bodied, drying, puckery, and clean.
Would have liked a bit more mango fruitiness, but a good hophead IPA.

Thanks to Libation Station for having this on draft. When asked what it was the answer was "the Craggie ipa". After a taste I thought it was interesting but couldn't put my finger on the sweet taste. I thought it was worth a growler, so I bought one, and upon further review - mango ipa.
Poured into a tulip. Nice head with little retention but decent lacing. Hazy dark burnt orange in color.
The smell is typical ipa with a little sweetness.
The taste is the highlight. If your a hophead looking for a smack in the face don't drink this beer. Nice light hoppiness with a really nice sweetness. Super smooth and very well balanced. Hoppy, then mango sweet with a nice hoppy bite for a finish. The mango is not real prominent and I probably couldn't identify it if it wasn't in the name but it's there. Really nice.
Good carbonation and smooth mouthfeel.
Overall a really good beer. Not my favorite ipa but different enough to be a must try. Hopefully I will be able to find more of this in the future. My first Craggie but not my last. Another winner from the capital of craft brews - Asheville, NC.

On tap at The Celtic Fringe in Reidsville, NC I rated the smell at average but that is due in part to my slight head cold. The taste is hoppy enough to call it an IPA and it has an unfiltered look. The head was strong at first but disappeared quickly. Mouth feel is the same as a standard dry hopped IPA but nothing to write home to momma about. Taste is good and a little citrusy probably due to the mango it's brewed with. Not a lot of malt flavor but im not a malty guy so it's good for me. A little sweeter (with malt) and this beer would rate higher. It's still above average and I will have a few more before this keg is blown.

i was expecting more mango. this beer is more earthy and spicy than i expected. not the best, but it gets better with two or three pints. if you really want a tropical ipa, try coast brew's boy king.i appreciate craggie for trying to be different in a city that has AMAZING beer...imho, not bad - just above average.

An IPA dryhopped with fresh mangos, citra, and Amarillo hops.On tap at the Mellow in Greensboro this week for American Craft Beer week.Poured into a standard pint a clear honey color with a thinner well sustained white head atop.A mix of floral/citric hops and subtle sweet mango in the nose, not real in your face but pleasant enough.Citrusy and a bit of sharp hop bite to the beer wich is good, the mango is there but doesn't play a huge role flavor-wise,a nice mix of fruity and bitter hops. The more I drank of the beer the more it grew on me,pretty damn good.
