Color is a burnt orange/amber hue. Initially has quote a frothy head but I found that it dissipated mostly. The beer is carbonated however. In the aroma I am picking up pear and apple, and apricot fruit flavors. As I sip, the flavor stays true to the aroma with ample fruit esters, intermingled with toasted malt. A touch of hops in the finish Very light mouthfeel, and very refreshing. I wish this was my 'everyday' beer!

Glows iridescent, deep copper (SRM 14-16) with a 2 ½ inch, white mousse that settles to form a ½ inch blanket and leaves no lacing.

The fruity funkiness which emanates from the bottle gives way to orange peel citrus and light floral notes in the St. Hermes tulip.

Well balanced with fruit and spice which are distinct from subtle apricot. A short, subtle finish accentuates earthiness that is light – similar to white wine – and develops with warming.

Medium body with lively, fine carbonation, light alcohol, and a dry, woolly texture.

This is a great beer to help settle down with after a day in the hot sun. This is by no means a lawnmower beer, however, as it has much more to offer. A contemplative nature would also allow it to accompany afternoons of conversation.

Pretty sure this is the correct beer....

A= Pours a nice amberish brown color with a thin finger of head that rises and falls fast into a thin layer on top of the glass. LIttle retention but there is some.

S= Has a typical Belgian yeast aroma. There is a little caramel malt in it and some yeasty spiciness.

T= The taste is nice and light on the Belgian yeast which I like but it still is present. A solid yeast profile with a little spice. There is a caramelly malt flavor as well that comes through providing a little sweetness.

M= A nice level of carbonation. Sometimes Belgian beers are too carbonated for me.

O= This is a solid brew. I was told that this is what New Belgium modeled Flat Tire after and while they didn't quite get all of the nuances in this beer I would say it was an admirable effort.

Appearance: Amber; big frothy head, long lasting

Aroma: biscuity malt; light hops; peppery yeast

Taste: thin juicy malt on start; good Belgian yeast flavor in mid; finishes slightly hoppy and semi sweet

Remarks: great flavor, but a little thin.

Did not score A, S, T, M at that time; please disregard

Served on-draught in Belgium. Served into a bolleke glass. Cost was 2.10 euro. ABV is 4.9% according to the beer menu. Reviewed from notes taken in Summer 2011.

A: Pours a three finger head of nice cream, good thickness, and nice retention. Body colour is a nontransparent gold. Hazy.

Sm: Light aroma of caramelized malt, cream, and floral hops. Not a lot going on.

T: Amber malts, floral hops, a weak barley foundation, some cream, and fair caramel. Lacks sufficient body. More simple than I expected. The cream is nice, and it's pretty well balanced, but overall the build is less than par for the style.

Mf: Smooth and wet. Suits the flavour profile nicely.

Dr: Pretty decent, and well priced. Give her a go, but don't expect much.

Bottled 12/2012.

5.2% ABV per the label.

Pours a slightly hazy dark orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, fruit, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with malt and fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with some solid aromas and flavors.

A: A medium amber with an orange hue and great clarity. The persistent head pour a finger of off-white creamy foam with some big bubbles.

S: The aroma is pretty malty with a a bit of earthy and spicy hops aroma; having a medium-strong malt aroma with a notes of biscuit and caramel. The hops aroma is moderately-low and the esters are low and very Belgiany more British ale like fermentation character.

T: Malty and fruity having a medium-strong malt character with flavors of caramel, biscuit and toast. The is a medium amount of light colored fruit like Nectarines and oranges. There is a medium amount of spice what seems like a medium-low portion coming from the hops and a bit more from the yeast. The hops also add and earthy flavor. The alcohol brings bi additional sweetness

M: Soft and creamy with a medium-full body and a moderately-strong level carbonation.

O: A malt driven beer with some spice; it's like a British Ale rubbed elbows a Belgian brewer. It's an unexpected and little brewed Belgian style. If you approach this beer expecting a typical Belgian you might not be too impressed unless you get it not tap where it is truly sublime.

Dark amber color and made 3 fingers of head, thick with good retention that left marks in the tulip glass.
Nice mild aroma of malt and herbal hops, some sulfur notes. Good carbonation with medium bubbles.
Elegant and flavorful taste, balancing malt sweetness and caramel with a mild bitterness from its hops and a hint of condiments. Slightly dry and malty aftertaste that comes right a way.
