Well, I've been to Phoenix a number of times...took me a while to get into this place, but I've been back at least 5 times now. Located in a strange neighborhood...in fact, first time I tried to come here, I took a look and decided to pass and go to option 2...man, was I wrong.
A - Big, wide open spaces is the name of the game here. Lively, young (just off of the ASU campus) crowd. Lots of friendly, young, and attractive service people and clientele - a definite plus - especially over their other location in Scottsdale. Bar is huge. Nice, large outdoor area (where we sat this time around...espcially nice to be able to sit outside comfortably in February, being a New Englander). Great, relaxed atmosphere to pass an afternoon after a round of golf, a spring training baseball game, or an spend an evening out.
Q - I've always enjoyed and been impressed with the quality and variety of beer available here. Something for every palette. This time around I spent the afternoon enjoying their seasonal Double Knot (missed it by a couple days last year), an amazing DIPA - definitely top 5 that I've ever had...had 3 and left very happy. The regular Hop Knot, Kilt Lifter, and their Hefeweizen (can't remember the name at the moment) are all good (have had myself) and I've gotten good reviews on others from companions here.
S - This is a large and typically very busy place. I have to say that they staff it very well, quality and quantity. Usually if I get there early, the service staff is standing around for a little while (too many people working), but when things get going they still keep up pretty well. Not a 5 star establishment, but as far as brewpubs go, they handle things smooothly, courteously, and efficiently...and are usually an attractive bunch too, as a bonus.
S - Selection is always quite good. A large variety of styles including seasonals and a cask selection regularly too. Something for all levels of BA...even the newly initiated. Being close to the ASU campus gets lots of variety in the crowd, from the macro swilling college jocks, Arizona golf tourists and the more beer savvy crowd.
F - I've always enjoyed the food here at Four Peaks. My personal favorite is the garlic cheese bread (basically a sauce-less pizza)..excellent. Large variety of appetizers, regular pub food and some southwest specialties. Again, not 5 star dining, but for a brewpub the food is excellent (and I prefer the brewpub food to the fine dining on most occasions).
V - I would say value is overall quite good. This time, we had 4 people who each got a burger/sandwhich/pizza and we shared an appetizer plus 10-11 beers (it was happy hour) for $63 plus tip...for a Boston guy, that is unheard of...I'm used to walking out of my favorite brewpubs here with only 2 people at a higher dollar value than this.
Overall, one of my favorite brewpubs in the country. I've been here at least 5 times and it has become a regular stop on my trips to the Phoenix area. I've also introduced several people to this place and they always ask about it when I talk about my travels to AZ. Highly recommend it...I would say easily the best brewpub in the Valley of the Sun.

The brewery to be at in Arizona, the oldest and most solidified brewery in the state, Four Peaks always draws a crowd. Their beers are fantastic and the food is great as well, a great scene near the campus of Arizona State University, has everything a craft beer lover needs.

HopKnot is a phenomenal beer. Easily my favorite beer in the state. The food was awesome. The building, old milk factory, was very cool. Liked how they capatilized on the environment and had outdoor dining. Service was great; albeit a little slow. However, that was because they were so busy; as they should be considering the great brews they produce.

I went on a mission to go see every local brewery in Arizona, and I was getting a pint glass from everyone I went to! It was funny because when my girlfriend and I went in there we made jokes about if this place was going to forget about bringing a souviner glass out for us. Four breweries before this one each forgot us, "FOUR"...it was hard to believe, but true. Our waitress was moving through the place at a good speed but was very well manored. She took our order without writeing it down, went over to two other tables and took theyr'e orders without writeing them down and disappeared. She came back in record time, everything was perfect and she brought the glasses with her before we had to ask for them again!
Awesome!!! Bravo!!!! The beer was great and so was the food!

As my ratings indicate, I'm a huge fan of FPBC. I used to live in Tempe and had they come into being before I moved away, I would have never left town. Consistently the beer, food and service are all well executed. I can't ever get enough of their Hop Knot or the 8th Street Ale. I heard that FPBC is establishing a separate brewing facility elsewhere in Tempe that will offer a bar and restaurant; that will take the pressure off the 8th Street location which can get impenetrable when ASU is in session and on game days. These guys are successful and once you go here, it's evident why.

I have been here many times, in both small and large groups, and it has always been very good. Very cool old building that used to be a dairy. Still has a lot of character. Great food, great beer and a friendly staff. The menu has suggestions for recommended beer pairings to go with the food. All of the food is consistently good, and they always have specials that aren't on the menu. Sometimes, it's a bit uncomfortable when the temperature outside is high, and there is often a wait for a table. However, it has always been worth it. If you have a chance to visit, I don't think that you will be disappointed.

This place is huge, they seem to have decided to build a brewpub around their production brewery, with a large bar overlooking the brewery and a large patio seating area as well. The food and beer are both quite good with a fairly extensive menu including pub fare and southwestern items. They had quite a few beers on tap the night that I visited and all were good but the standout was a barrel aged imperial stout. Service was adequate especially considering that the place was packed full on a Tuesday night due to a college basketball game. They are located very close to Arizona State and the crowd was a bit heavy on college kids for my taste, but it was still a worthy beer destination.

We went to Four Peaks 4 times in a 5 day stay while in the Tempe area. Each time we had excellent service, food and the beer was great. The hop knot is excellent. Even though I am not a fruit beer person the peach ale was quite good. We tried a couple of other beers and each was good. Service was excellent with the wait staff and bus boys, eager to clean up without trying to rush you out the door. The management was very friendly and gave us an impromptu brewery tour and met the owner and head brewer, very impressive! If I had time for only one brewpub or restaurant to go to in Tempe, Four Peaks would be the choice.

Four Peaks is an awesome place to go for whatever occasion you can think of. It's a great place for hanging out with friends, celebrating events, holding business lunches, or to just kill free time. The bartenders are really good, and the service overall is better than most brewpubs I've been to. The food is okay, really hit or miss. Plenty of seating for busier times, and the outdoor weather in Tempe is usually great for their patio seating. It's an overall great bar to just kick it during some down time.

In an old creamery near ASU. Interesting look. Has nice decor and such, but it is a little bit dark and can be hot inside sometimes.
There are tons of beers as you can see. They also have stuff on cask which is neat. Most of them are pretty good, at least all of the ones that I have had (Kiltlifter, Hop Knot, Raj IPA, Peach(?))
Service can be hit or miss, but it generally is good. But, if it is a game day, expect crappy service.
Food always is pretty good. Everything that I or my friends/family have ordered are tasty.
They also have a decent drink selection for those who don't like beer.
