A small retail outlet just off the main square in Sonoma... this is the sort of place you really want to like and see do well, but it really just doesn't have that much going for it from a beer standpoint. From a wine standpoint, I plan to keep this place in mind, as they have a very nice selection, especially their burgundy wine selection. As for the beer... sigh...
The selection here is not very large, though what they do have is pretty high quality, including a decent selection of Belgian beers. I even saw some Mikkeller stuff, something I wouldn't normally expact in Sonoma. On the other hand, you have to wonder how much traffic this place sees, as they have bottles of elder here from early December and blind pig bottles from November (I was here on 2/3/12). I really think beer is something of an after thought for the owners here, and I sort of even wonder why they bother, given the relatively small selection.
The women working here were polite and pleasant enough, but seemed more focused on their excellent wine selection.
Shrug... there's a Whole Paycheck (Whole Foods) just down the street where you have to figure you can find a much better selection of beer. On the other hand, prices here are pretty decent (bottles of elder were $3.99 a bottle), and they do have some unusual stuff for the area (HOTD fred). Still not sure this is a place I can see myself visiting again any time soon.

I haven't cared to post a review in ages...but I was so damned impressed with this place that I had to log in here to do it. This is hands down the coolest booze shop I have ever been to. It's in a cute little house. A cute little house full of booze. It's mostly wine, but with a pretty damn decent selection of microbrews as well. I bought a 4-pack of De Koninck for $9.99 and a bottle of garnacha as well. When you walk in, the very nice attendant will give you a quick tour. "French and Italian in the first bedroom, Spanish, German and Australian in the second...up the stairs is the lounge and over here is the tasting room and bar."
Yup. You can open your drinks in the shop and lounge on the big comfy couches and play board games and hang out. On Wednesday nights they have a $1 wine tasting. Six pours for a buck. The bar is beautiful.
Beer is located in two places. There's some six-packs on the shelving in the hallway and a bunch more as well as singles over by the bar. Also a smaller, but still elite, selection kept chilled in the refrigerator. Several good US, Belgian, and other European beers to choose from. Maybe a tad bit pricey, but not ridiculously so. Very worth a visit.
