Pours a dark, near-black body just shy of opaque and a cream head. My first pour yielded little head, but subsequent pours yielded as much as 3 fingers. Moderate amount of lacing.
Smell is mainly of roasted malt, with piney hops. Not much else going on. Taste is largely the same. Roasty bitterness, with a dash of hops. There may be a hint of cocoa at play, but this is largely just roastiness on display. Fairly straight-forward flavor profile. Probably a good transitional beer for Guinness lovers. Not a lot of craziness or complexity going on - just an amped up stout.
Mouthfeel again is good. Appropriate carbonation and fairly thick, almost chewy.
All in all, this is just a solid, well made stout. There's nothing tremendous about it, and there's nothing particularly complex or interesting. "Simple" may be the key word. I'd love to see the brewer do a rendition with a focus on coffee or chocolate, or even bourbon barrel aging. That said, this is a well-made no frills stout. I'd be inclined to call this an imperial stout, actually - bottle says it weighs in at 8% ABV (which could be an increase from when it was orginally added as a draft-only brew).

Good, dry, malty. Really nice on a super hot summer's day in a nice cool tap room. Dark with a nice tan head and medium body. Was a fair amount of vanilla and minimal coffee, a nice mix.

Nothing special here. Little boozy on the nose with some burn, but not bad. Hard to pull out much flavor, but coffee is there, chocolate less so. Some smoke or char which is nice.

Appearance - Pours black with nice tan head sheets of lacing in patches around the glass.
Aroma - Great roasted malt aroma, bakers chocolate, coffee, very light vanilla.
Taste - Huge roasted malt, bitter chocolate, coffee, mild vanilla. Drinks alot like a black cup of coffee but there are more roasted malts flavors than coffee.
Feel - creamy full bodied, slightly dry finish very smooth.
Overall - This is just a solid stout, no bells and whistles added, the coffee is light but noticeable smooth creamy great flavors.

I had some last year and have bought a couple six packs this year. The bottle picture is different than in the picture and the sixer I bought were 8%. This is a good stout. It isn't quite as strong ABV as I like but it is very drinkable. To me this beer tastes best after I take it from my Yeti cooler and pour it and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. The head gets thicker and that's what I enjoy in a stout, the thickness of each sip. It is really the only thing this beer lacks. I am a huge supporter of GA brewing and this is a beer that every stout fan should try and will enjoy.
