22 oz bomber, no date.

Pours a slightly hazy honey-amber, not much head or lacing. May be a bit old.

The aroma is intriguing, if somewhat faint. Definite malt presence, along with an unusual hop smell that is sort of grassy-floral-citrus.

The taste is well, whaddaya know, pretty much exactly as described in the promo copy: A nice balance between not-too-wet-and-sweet malts and an unusual hop blend that will please most ipa lovers, but there is an unusual note or two that some may not like. It's like an 80% American IPA, 20% Belgian beer, perhaps due to the Sterling hops.

A slightly unorthodox, good IPA.

A 22oz bottle picked up at Green's Buford Hwy Atlanta, GA

A - Nice golden color with lots of clarity. Nice 1 finger of head, and sticky lace on the glass. Pretty standard, but solid looking IPA

S - The hops jump out of the bottle upon opening. Nice! Nice mix of floral and bitterness

T - A very solid, well balanced IPA. Floral hops up front, and bitterness kicks in at the finish and aftertaste. Dry finish.

M - Smooth, dry.

O - Very high drinkability. I could be happy with a couple of growlers of this one on a Friday night. I have had this brew a while back, maybe a year ago, and this is better than I remember. I think they may have changed it since its original conception, but whatever, well done!
