Appears almost black in color there is about an inch tall light tan head.

The beer smells slightly smoky a little sweet, slightly caramel like and somewhat citrusy.

It tastes much like it smells. There is a nice slightly sweet smoky flavor up front. The sweetness mellows out the smokiness and the smokiness mellows out the sweetness. A nice slight citrusy hoppy flavor is also present in the back. There is actually quite a bit of hoppy bitterness. This almost tastes like a very mild black IPA. There is a slight hefe yeasty taste but it pales compared to the other flavors.

The carbonation is moderate high. The carbonation seems average for the style.

This is quite easy to drink I drank a few glasses of it.
