Though I've had this several times over my lifetime, I'm finally get around to reviewing this since I had it within my 3 day timespan:

Into my chalice:

A: small, half finger white head appeared and immediately died. No carbonation was seen rising.

S: Belgian yeast and powerfully in front, with some clove and spices ever so slightly in the background.

T: pretty much the same as the smell with some extra fruitiness such as plum.

M: medium with a hard crispness all around but not so much on the tongue.

O: ok, well, this has been a staple in my parents house over the years around this time of year, to me, since my dad doesn't read these reviews, I will admit this: this beer is just ok to me. I'd only have it again probably at my dad's house. Happy holidays!

Style/abv: dubbel/7%

Smell: dark plums and tannins withe sweet vinegar subtleties

Taste: a dark fruit bouquet with semi-spiced peppers and red grapes with hints of bitter chocolate (maltiness)

Mouthfeel: slightly effervescent

This is an awesome beer to pair with filet crostini and caramelized onions as well as any cheese that has a sour taste, like a blue or a goat cheese
