Poured into an Orval glass. 1 finger head which fizzled its way down a bit but stuck around. Smells of dried plums, raisins, bready/biscuity, alcohol and small hop presence. Strong taste of the typical dried fruits as you expect from most Trappist beers. Complex and delcious with a small warmth of alcohol. The mouthfeel is a bit upseting as it feels overly carbonated and soda like.
Overall I am upset I only picked up one of these. Find it, and enjoy it. I did.

Smell: dark plums and tannins withe sweet vinegar subtleties

Taste: a dark fruit bouquet with semi-spiced peppers and red grapes with hints of bitter chocolate (maltiness)

Mouthfeel: slightly effervescent

This is an awesome beer to pair with filet crostini and caramelized onions as well as any cheese that has a sour taste, like a blue or a goat cheese
