Poured from a stubby 11.5 oz bottle into a Spider Lake Pub Mug whilst over looking the lake in all it's summer splendor.

Clear orange-gold with a rocky one inch head, thick lace. Very inviting.

Smells of caramel malts, noble-spicey hops and citrus rinds freshly ground.

Taste is a smooth spicey collaboration of noble and high alpha hops blende with caramel and honey malts. Smooth as hell and delisciously refreshing on a hot day. A good session beer at the Diabolical percet of alcohol 6.66%; clever chemistry.

This brew reminds me of a Great Lakes Commadore Perry with less of grain bill. Lighter and more quaffable. Cheers!

Seek this one out when in Traverse City!

Snub nose bottle

A - pours an amber copper color, cloudy. About 2 inches of thick off white foam.

S - piney hop, malt, not bad, but not a whole lot.

T - dense wet piney hop, lots of malt, as it warms some orange peel comes out.

M - standard. Medium carb, good finish.

O - goes down as a passable IPA. Good, nothing bad about it, actually finishes a lot like an amber. Certainly well made.

Thanx Shamrock071521

Into a pint glass:

A: golden orange/amber sort of colored body with a one finger white foamy head that leaves some spotty lacing

S: floral hops up front, some citrus in front of the light caramel malts that are in the background that come out nicely as it warms

T: balanced between sweet and bitter, sweet aftertaste, dry bitter finish

M: light to medium, sessionable, somewhat smooth around the mouth

O: definitely a winner for its style and for me

Picked up a little bottle (red stripe style) of this while visiting Michigan. Poured into a pint glass.
Slightly hazy orange/copper. Dense off-white head that sticks for a while.
Nose is good. Lots of grapefruit. Fresh hops. Malts waft through.

Taste is astringent hops. Malt is lost. Some citrus flavors, but not much balance. Slight metallic flavors.

Average IPA.

I think this one is real underrated here on BA. I mean, this is an interestingly hopped, crisp and clean, drinkable ipa that is outstanding when fresh. to each their own though I guess. this pours a crystal clear lighter shade of bronze, with a fluffy white head, pure in color and long lasting. the nose is fruity and citrusy hops in equal proportion, with a mix of English style and American barley malt. the caramel factor is low, but its there in aroma and taste, giving a little body and a little class to this otherwise hop heavy brew. the flavor balances nicely between the different hop varieties, bouncing between sweet and bitter and fruity and oily and pungent and mellow. its kind of an all in one brew, stagnated in such a way that all aspects can be enjoyed in isolation. maybe too discordant for some? I liked the punctuation, and I found its feel to be majorly refreshing. medium body, maybe just under, upbeat carbonation, and a crispy finish. magic when ice cold, less impressive as it warms up. give this a try, its something a little different and I liked it a lot.

I like these stubby bottles. That alone deserves a mention.

This pours with some nice foaming atop a malty orange amber color. There’s a dry straw—grassy aroma which rounds out with some orange peel notes. It’s not a particularly dynamic aroma. The flavor has a upfront bitterness with some piney and orange marmalade flavors wrapping up into a dry bitter finish. Again, nothing dynamic or exciting or worth recommending here (as in, ‘choose this over any number of other incredible IPAs from Michigan’). It’s perfectible acceptable in the middle of the road.
