My large work group arrived right before sunset. The views here are amazing. The sun was setting and reflecting off of the harbor right out front of our window seats. Since we were such a large group they gave us the entire harbor room. Food was good, but not great. Service was actually pretty good for the size of our table, but a bit slow. The beer list is lengthy and extensive, but there isn't anything rare or special. I tried some of the house beers that are brewed by Firestone Walker. They also were adequate, but nothing special. Go for the atmosphere and views.

The location of this place is unbeatable - looking right over the harbor to the lighthouse and to downtown Long Beach. A great place to have a brew or 3 and watch the sunset. I did just that, having their House Amber Tripel, Golden Monkey, and a Shipyard XXXX. A lot of their offerings I had seen before but there were some pleasant surprises on the menu. I'm not sure how often they rotate. The place seems popular with the craft beer crowd and non-beer drinkers alike, as there were a lot of people having wine or mixed drinks out there. The server was knowledgeable and offered me some notes on a few beers. The food was pretty good, but admittedly I didn't have all that much - onion rings and the clam chowder, but from what I saw from other people's plates, I might come back here to eat sometime. Overall a place that I'd revisit if I was in town again. Not really a destination, but a solid place overall. My only complaint - they don't put any head on the pours. Not that big a deal, but would have been nice.

Atmosphere: Sat on the deck, nice view of the marina.
Food: Had the Sea Scallops. Good but not great. Rice medley that it came with was good.
Price: I didn't pay.
Beer: Lots of beer to choose from of course. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Two sampler sets of six to choose from. We ended up getting both and then some. I came away with several new favorites to look for again.
-Moylan's Kilt Lifter Scotch Ale
-Ommegang (Abbey Ale)
-Avery The Reveand
-Tetleys Pub Creram Ale
-Young's Double Chocolate Stout
-Primo Island Lager (See this is rated low on BA so I will have to try again but it was fine on tap)

A: way, way too noisy. Granted, I'm pretty sensitive to noise as a general rule, but this was beyond excessive. My friends and I had to literally yell to hear each other at our own table, at this was at 7pm, not during crazy bar only hours.
S: Friendly, helpful.
S: Had tremendous selection! 150+ beers on tap. I ordered the Dogfish Head 90 min IPA, which was pretty dang good. Bummed to not see Russian River represented there, but the waitress took interest in my inquiry and I was assured that they are always looking for more quality beers to put on tap!
F: Very tasty. I split the Orange Peel Chicken with my fiance, which wasn't my first choice, but I still enjoyed it.
V: Appetizer, Split meal, tiny dessert, and two beers ran us about $60. To me, this is a bit pricey.

Went here during a stay at a nearby hotel.
Atmosphere is good. It's right on the water with a good deal of outside seating. Once inside there's a ton of seating with a pretty large bar in the middle of everything. Nothing else really stood out.
Quality is alright. Everything (at least everything I had) was served in a standard pint glass with a good amount of head. Some beers were a bit on the cold side but the glasses definitely weren't close to being chilled.
Service was alright. I had to wait at the bar for a good while before the person who kept telling me he'd be with me in a moment was finally with me. He was nice enough but his knowledge was a bit lacking (couldn't list off various seasonals, not knowing styles).
Selection is good. They certainly have a ton of beers broken up by style on the menu, however most of this stuff is available at many places around town, just not all in once place. Everyone can certainly find something they're looking for. I had a Hemp Ale and Nautical Nut Brown from AleSmith.
Food was good. I believe I had the fish and chips and it was solid.
Value is good. It was a bit on the pricey side - especially the food - but nothing outrageous.
Overall this is a good place to go have a few if you want a large selection but if you're looking for anything on the rarer side there are better places to go.

This YardHouse is located on the waterfront near downtown Long Beach, and is a short jog from Rock Bottom Brewery. The interior is quite standard for a YardHouse, but the outdoor patio with a view of the downtown skyline and the waterfront is a nice bonus, which is where me and my friend sat. We came for the late night happy hour, and this place was bustling with patrons. I though the service would be slow sitting outside, but our orders came out at a good pace, and our waiter turned out to be a really chill guy.
We ordered Jamaican Wings and Fried Calimari to much on. The Jamiacan Wings tasted great, but a few of them were cold. The Fried Calimari was piping hot.
Oh, and let's talk about the beers. Plenty of drafts just like any other YardHouse, but with a lot of surprises. Staples like Old Rasputin, Dead Guy Ale, Delirium Tremens, Franziskaner, Stone, Czechvar, and Paulaner are available on the list. In addition, there are rare drafts, such as Gulden Draak, Hacker Pschorr, Flying Dog Pale Ale, Moylan's Kilt Lifter, Chambly Noire, Scrimshaw Pilsner, Lindemans Pêche, AleSmith Nautical Nut Brown....there's a lot here. My friend and I split 6 different beers, and they were all in good condition, albeit the Gulden Draak was a bit colder than I'd like.
This turned to be to be a well-spent visit. Probably the best YardHouse I've been to....just take note you'll need to pay to park if you drive here.

I used to be the biggest Yardhouse fan in the Long Beach area. But then a funny thing happened...
One very flat Hopdevil. It was strange, I had never had an IPA that I didnt like when this hit my table... I blamed Victory. I thought it was a bad beer. Then I went back. My Ruination was flat. My racer 5 was flat. Finally I got a Stone IPA with some G.D. bubbles in it.
I love the yard houses food. Fire cracker wings and beers go exceptionally well together. Unfortunately, the more obscure beers go slowly and therefore they turn to flat, nasty beers. They do NOT clean their tap lines nearly as often as they should and for the price, it is just not worth it anymore. Go to beachwood bbq or Naja's place for beer. Go to Yardhouse for the food and the atmosphere.

Went here tonight for dinner. Was fairly crowded so I was a bit unsure of how good the service was going to be (a bit more on that in a bit). There is both indoor and outdoor seating with many tables for either. The bar is pretty impressive with just the amazing number of taps that they have. I'd guess that they easily have at least 150 beers on tap from the looks of their menu. However, a lot of these beers are easy to obtain from the store and there isn't anything super rare or special on tap.
As I said earlier I stopped in here for dinner and it was fairly crowded. Service was very good and our waitress was very friendly. I was honestly expecting it to take longer than it did. The bar looked like there were about five bartenders serving guest at the bar. I didn't go to the bar so I cannot speak for the service at the bar.
The huge draft selection can take a few minutes to look though. It was simply amazing how many taps they had. Only wish they had some rare or special beers on tap. The menu was fairly good and decent selection of food. The prices were a bit pricey. The food was good though.
Overall I thought this place was pretty good. I'd read threads about how some of the yard houses were horrible so I was skeptical about how good this one would be. I liked the place but don't really know how often I'll be going to it when I'm home in Long Beach.

This is a great place to go see a baseball game or football game and enjoy some good food. The 130+ beers on tap are a great IDEA. The problem is that the majority of those beers are readily available. What about all the great local beers and hard to find microbrews from all the great breweries around. It's obvious that the person or people that picked the beer selections does not drink good beer. I think the Yard House is a nice place if you are learning about different beers but not for a true beer snob.

wow, this is a great yard house, maybe the only better one that I have been too is the one in irvine, which is clearly the best one out there.
The long beach yard house has the hottest waitress staff on the planet, very high quality.
of course the beer selection is insane many great beers, the only drawback for the long beach location is that there are not enough local craft brewers in the area to make it truly great.
the draw from a lot of san diego and northern california locals to round out their selection.
the food is great, a fusion style menu as many of the yard houses have, the location is right on the pier in long beach which has been renovated over the past 15 years, long beach is a lot nicer than it was when i was a kid.
