This is a place that prides itself on local, fresh, creative, and strange things. I did work here before, and I am friends with the owners and many of the employees, so my ratings may be a little skewed but it's blunt and honest.
You WILL NOT find another place in the immediate E-town area that has a better beer selection that appreciates quality and affordability. Toeny, the owner, tries to serve his customers the best beers and food he can get his hands on. Trust me when I say that this is a place that hates serving Miller and Bud products… they only carry it because of the preferences of a lot of the locals.
If you haven't been to this place yet, visit it! Some of the best food, events, beers, and people I have ever met in E-town. They really do care about their community and you should support them because they want to support you.
I could go on forever, but I would prefer if you messaged me to ask more about this place.

Went to the BG a little while ago. They have a bit of tough place for such a good bar/restaurant. Etown is not the ideal spot for this kind of restaurant. They support local brews and local meats. I had there food and it is very good. They had 6 brews on draft. Some were your big guys like Miller but other were dogfish and Troegs. The location sucks and venue is weird but they have a good heart. I like idea of supporting local farmers with the meats and veggies. I hope they do well in this location. Go Etown

I stopped in for a pint at Black Gryphon yesterday after work. The parking are is huge and you can't miss it from the road with a big yellow sign and black emblem.
I asked the bartender what the local taps were and he described them for me as I sat down. I was pleased to see Stoudt's, Victory and Dogfish Head on tap. There are about 6 lines - 1 yuengling, 1 guinness and a miller light also. I read the bottle list on the website, but didn't see one at the bar. The place has the feel of a cozy hotel bar with wood bar and stone in the dining area and they have their own banquet room to the right as you walk in. The place exudes a comfortable vibe giving me the impression it is a bar you could lose track of time in.
There are plenty of good qualities such as clean, spacious area, and great blues on the system.
The food was not tried on my visit but the lamb ravioli and sweet corn soup both looked and smelled good and were getting good feedback from customers at the bar. The service is very good, polite, friendly, efficient and an attention to detail was noted as the beers and food items were described well. They generally seem to care about the selection with Yakima Twilight, Stoudt's Quadruple and DFH Punkin' were good seasonals and the beer was served in the appropriated glassware at the right temperature.
I will probably return for dinner sometime and to see what they bring as far as beer selection consistently since it felt like a neighborhood pub w/ quality beer and good food. What more can you ask for right?
