Bottles just showed up here, so assuming it's a fresh batch.

Poured into a tulip glass it's a nice saturated orange color, slightly hazy with a persistent head of creamy white foam on the surface. Rings of lace in the glass, long lasting head retention.

As it warms up there's a distinct citrus presence, resinous with a slightly funky dankness. Biscuity pale malt middle beyond that.

Earthy resinous citrus peel aftertaste, grapefruit and marmalade, moderate hoppy bitterness. Dry and bitter in the aftertaste, some lingering cracker and biscuit notes from the pale malt. Medium bodied, definitely a solid IPA, could use a little more edge in the hop department, though it's clearly well hopped. Again not sure how fresh the bottles are, but it's a nice effort, and will check it out again down the line.

a dark copper pour with 2 fingers of fluffy white head leaving behind excellent amounts of lacing. smells of caramel, bready malt and lots of grassy and floral hops, along with a wonderful grapefruit-like citrus. a very bready tasting english style ipa with a nice hop selection. slightly bitter, mostly sweet. lots of bready biscuity notes, caramel, with a light grapefruit flavor, and grassy/herbal hops.
medium body with a creamy mouthfeel, moderate carbonation.

a nice ipa, doesn't feel like it's all too fresh, but still hoppy to the point where i can feel what they were going for. not a bad beer, more leaning towards an english style ipa rather than the overhopped american. not a bad value for about $5 per 22oz

A very hazy orange body with a bright light center. Four fingers of white bubbles rapidly dropped to one, then settled. Good dense lacing.

Citrus aroma with some pine and a whiff of cleanser. Not overly assertive.

Sweet beginning with a sloppy dose of malt that slides around the tongue instead of building a foundation. A quick fleeting note of citrus. Then it's all bitter. There is good bitter and bad bitter. This is not good bitter. And it lingers on and on.

Light-medium mouthfeel. Acceptable.

A one note IPA and that one note is not exactly the closing note of "A Day in the Life". An inexpensive bomber that wasn't worth the price. Not recommended.

Appearance: pours a dark and slightly cloudy orange color with a two finger head that lingers around a while. Moderate lace develops.

Smell: orange and grapefruit citrus, some woodiness, and a bit of earthiness comes through to the nose.

Taste: caramel, orange, grapefruit, earthy bitterness, and some pears create a well balanced IPA.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp at the start, less crisp at finish. slightly dry aftertaste here.

Overall: an easy drinking beer, flavorful and tasty.

Bomber served at a restaurant with a pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy golden body, with a bit over a one-finger egg-shell white head. A bit of lacing along the glass.

The aroma is primarily pine and grapefruit notes, with a bit of caramel malt in the background.

Solid IPA flavor, but a touch on the sweet side overall. Nice grapefruit and pine resin hop notes accentuate the hops, as in the aroma. The caramel malt sweetness comes through a bit heavier in the flavor than in the aroma.

Medium texture in the mouthfeel. Overall, a solid IPA that I would gladly have again.

First time with this one. Pours a murky orangeish brown color with some sediment seen floating. Thin tight bubbly head stands a half inch tall and quickly falls to a thin creamy cap. Some spotty lacing is left behind. The aroma of this beer is slightly better than the taste, have a feeling that this isn't the freshest of bottles. There is a nice balance between grapefruit and pine hops. Not too malty, it sems to take a back seat to the hop profile, still has some bread and caramel presencein it. Moputhfeel seems pretty standard for the style. Good carbonation with a long dry finish that isn't overly bitter. I kinda like this beer as it is, but I would love to try a bottle that is a lot fresher. I have a hunch that my overall score might rise a bit.

Hazy tarnished brass with a finger and a half of white head that coats the side of the glass as it dissipates. Sweet dried sugared tropical fruits, lots of tangerine, pineapple, and grapefruit. Hop Resin and caramel as well.

Such a good hoppy IPA. Bright tropical fruit flavors up front with a fruit rind bitterness. Just enough of a malt body to carry the hops over your tongue. Just enough carbonation to keep the beer brisk without breaking up the flavors. Finishes with a nice bitterness. Awesome. Big Muddy pushes the limits of the galaxy hops aroma, flavoring, and bittering agents.

Served in a Bruery snifter.

With more income comes more bottles from the store. This case-in-point pours a mostly clear brass-amber topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises grapefruit zest, mild pine resin, light toffee, and pineapple. The taste keeps those fruits, but tends toward their rinds rather than their flesh, resulting in a shift from fruitiness to bitterness. It's a bit of a downer, considering how nicely tropical that aroma truly was. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, a pretty nice IPA, but one that would have done better to stick with the path laid out by the smell rather than ply its own bitter trade. Still ain't all bad, though.

Really great homerun from this local brewery and something that was literally just bottled!

A strong deep gold pours from the bottle and forms a thick, soapy, white two finger head. Classic IPA burnt orange and a great looking beer.

I get a ton of sweet fruit on the top followed with a touch of pine. Tons of fruit here and it really dominates the hop profile.

The taste is slightly sweet on top followed by bitter pine flavors. There's a slightly passionfruit/kiwi/general tropical note that really makes this great. As it warms theres a very sweet malt profile lying underneath and my only qualm with the beer is that this is a bit strong. Still a really, really great IPA.

There's a certain thickness here that permeates and makes this beer come off heavier than a lot of easy drinking IPAs but it still turns out delightfully.

Finally something I love from Big Muddy. If this is the direction they are headed, I will happily be there for the future. At five bucks a bomber you cannot go wrong with this awesome, delicious IPA.
