This is a real good one, and an example of why the American styles like this are so good. It is a pils on steroids. It has more aroma, more hops bitterness, and more malty body than you get with the European styles.
As soon as you open the bottle a nice hoppy aroma escapes. That aroma keeps on giving. The color is a pee yellow and it has a weak head with a little lacing.
The taste is very hoppy. It has a bitterness and hoppy piney taste, but it is unique. It has a great hoppy bitterness that stays on the tongue long after it is gone down the hatch. Overall this is a big win and a brew I would buy again when I wanted a big (or just good-sized) beer.

From old, undated notes; poured from the bottle.
Clear piss color.
Nice bright white head; thick lace.
Honey, fresh bread & hint of pine hops in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Sweet yeast & oat mixture; bitter finish.
Cloying up front & astringent on the finish; unbalanced & unpleasant.

A - Vibrant dark gold color with very active carbonation. The first pour was careful and still created a huge billowy head that took up half the glass - gradually dies down to form a sticky, rocky layer on top. - 'Was a "pretty angry" pour initially.
S - Crackery malt aroma, honey, hay/straw, very faint citrus, a little cereal/grainy in the nose. The nose yields more honey malt than anything. The aroma is better when the beer warms.
T - Malt forward for a Pilsner. Crackery honey malt with some spicy piney citrus sting on the back end. Mostly honey malt and grain.
M - Medium body, silky carbonation, and a bone dry finish.
O - Tried two, one at the proper Pilsner serving temp and the other far warmer. Surprisingly, much preferred the warmer pour, especially with the nose and even the head coming off the pour was way bigger. When cold, this beer is nothing but a malty honey bomb and pours pretty flat with the head. 'Love the idea of an Imperial Pilsner but this one doesn't work very well, it's a total mess, unfortunately.

Looks good with a pleasant aroma. Tastes moderately hoppy with a big malty sweet base. Feels well carbonated and slick. Overall I could do with a little less kick in the mouth sweetness but it's a fairly well put together beer.

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a very slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that died down, leaving lots of lacing on the surface and down the slides of the glass along with a collar around the edge.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose.
T: Following the smell, the taste has flavors of grassy and spicy hops along with strong notes of bready malts and a light to moderate amount of bitterness. The grassiness lingers through the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is a good representation of the style and has a nice amount of grassiness in the smell and taste.
