Pours black with a dense brown head that laces the glass nicely as you drink. Nutty aroma. Chocolate notes also on the nose. Fairly bitter for an oatmeal stout. Nice taste though. Bittersweet chocolate comes to mind. Medium body. Smooth mouthfeel. A slightly bitter aftertaste. Overall, a fairly solid oatmeal stout.

Poured into a standard pint glass, color is black, pretty solid, head is light tan, presenting 1/2" thick, then dissipating to a ring with some light lacing on the glass.
Smell is pretty creamy, light roast with a very solid coffee undertone.
Taste is relatively smooth, good solid flavor upfront, nice creaminess mixed with some solid roast and hint of coffee, chocolate also comes through well.
Mouthfeel is well blended, very present feel upfront with great lingering flavor.
Overall, a well done oatmeal stout, solid creaminess with a touch of stout roast and chocolate.

Nice and black, creamy but so-so head that varied a bit between several bottles, thin sheets of lace.
Nose is coffee, lots of chocolate, burnt malts, roasted malts.
Taste follows but roasty and burnt malts are a little more forward. However, the flavors are pretty well blended, and none particularly takes over the beer. It's a little more coffee stout like than oatmeal stout like IMO, but it's a very tasty beer either way.
The body is pretty full and carbonation is creamy and smooth.
I will certainly buy another sixer of this one. There aren't many oatmeal, dry Irish, or coffee stouts to be found around here (at least not real close) and I like to keep a moderate ABV stout on hand when I can.
