Pours a typical amber color with a little head that does not leave much lace. The smell and taste are both malty with a little hop presence. Not much to the drinkabllity. I see it as just an average, run-of-the-mill amber ale. It is nothing special and does not impress me very much.

Into a pint glass:

A: light amber colored body with a two finger white foamy head that dies at a moderate pace leaving some light clingy foamy lacing

S: biscuity malt, super muted barley, light caramel

T: bland through previously mentioned flavors, muted sweet aftertaste and dry slightly sweet finish

M: light, sessionable, carbonation seems to be spot on for the style and for me

O: uh... just not a very good taste, I was pretty disappointed with this one for me, though I would say only decent for the style

Poured the can into a chilled tulip glass.

Appearance 3.0: Light amber color. Small head dissipated into characteristic CO2 swirls on top.

Smell 3.5: Very nice bouquet. Hints of biscuit malt, barley and a slight bubblegum smell.

Taste 3.0: Front is a dry barley taste. Middle is basically gone. Nothing there. Finish is slightly hoppy: think Kent Goldings type hoppy, though. That's right: more "mossy" flavor and not biting at all. Finish is more malt and barley. Dry throughout and would probably go well with food.

Mouthfeel: 3.0: OK level of carbonation and is clearly 100% CO2.

Overall 3.0: Good, basic beer. Nothing special. Reminiscent of another Colorado brewery's famous beer (namely New Belgium's Fat Tire), this is an OK beer, but certainly nothing extraordinary.

I bought this at Binny's as part of a build-your-own six pack for $9.99, making it $1.67 for a single 12oz bottle. No freshness date.

Pours a clear amber/red color with just a half-finger of white head, but despite the small head it left a decent amount of lacing.

Hardly any smell to this. You have to swirl it around in the glass pretty hard to coax a little malt, sweet caramel, and floral hops out of it.

More caramel malt than anything else, making it a tad sweet. Hops are more floral than bitter as it only has 19 IBU's to it. Not really much to this but it's still tasty in a simple kind of way.

Very thin body, almost watery, with moderate carbonation.

Nothing stands out but there's nothing bad either. Very drinkable.
