471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you've ever had at one time. Enjoy.

Appearance – This is a beautiful thick, gorgeous orange in color with some interesting floaties and a nice, full white head.
Smell – The hops here are huge orange rind with a little fruity sweetness and a stiff malt toasted aroma. The sugary orange aroma is very attractive and makes the nose IMO.
Taste – That orange sweetness finds its way to the taste making this a delicious DIPA that won’t offend the novice drinker. True there is some bitterness to this one but it is balanced and quite flavorful.
Mouthfeel – This is bigger than medium-bodied but not full with a strong bitterness that is happily offset by a terrific orange sweetness. The carbs are light and the mouthfeel is smooth.
Drinkability – Way too quaffable for a 9.2% ale.

One of my all time favorites. Wish I didn’t have to drive to Colorado

Nothing stood out for me. Average ipa with acholoic notes. Was too bitter.

Strong initial flowery flavor that dissolves into a mid-tone maltiness that's uncharacteristic for a double IPA. The finish is neutral. A good double IPA overall but confusing in some of its flavors.
