It has a New Orleans slash blues vibe to it with beads and concert poster decor. All the people seemed friendly in there and all the patrons having a good time.
Prior to this I've only had OB in cans (minus one Ten Fidy on tap) and, while I thought the beer was pretty good, it never blew me away. I can say I have a newfound respect for them. I had both the Deviant Dale and Velvet Elvis and found them both extremely satisfying. I can imagine some of their other one-offs are just as good.
On top of their 10 or so Oskar Blues selections they also had a pretty respectable list of guest taps which, by my following of the tap list before and up to my visit there, is rotating.
Food was good. Not great, but solid. I had a shrimp etouffee. My local friends that took me there speak very highly of the rest of the menu, though.
Value was about what you'd expect from a brewery that also takes it's food seriously.
I'll definitely be back.

My son and I were out for the GABF and hit Longmont and Ft Collins on Friday.
Atmosphere - Very upbeat, obviously given the weekend the place was hopping, we sat at the bar and had some good beer conversations with some local folks who eat lunch there evey Friday. Loved the album covers on the wall in the men's room :)
Quality - Have all the Oskar Blues beers on tap, had a great selection of other craft beers with an emphasis on Colorado beers, had Pliny the Elder on tap which was very nice. Barkeep was great at getting us a couple fo tasters as we considered what to select. Good selection with a list on on deck beers to tap.
Service - Can't complain, friendly, folks behind the bar knew their beers.
Selection - Very good, Avery, Upslope, Russian River, Left Hand and obviosuly Oskar Blues
Food - actually pretty good, excellent portion size, was quick and hot.
Value - I thought it was a fair value

Visited on 10/10/12. GABF Week (Stop #3 of the day)
A: The place is very open, has a large bar area and plenty of tables. There is also a back patio area with additional seating and standing area. The decor is full of craft beer breweriana all over the place.
Q: The beers were decent, lots of decent beers not only In House but local and regional too.
S: Service was decent, the server was attentive and polite although not overly aware of the beers they served.
S: Selection was decent, they carried roughly 15 In House beers and an additional 20+ guest taps from the area.
F: Food was good but nothing great...the cost of their food was slightly higher than most places visited in the area.
V: Beers were slightly above the average in cost but nothing that will make you think twice about ordering.
Overall, a nice place to visit and stop in but there are better places in value/quality in the area.

Stopped here for lunch one day while out in Colorado.
The place is very large and open inside. It's got that typical craft bar/brewery decor of tap handles everywhere, signage and antiques on the walls, etc. It came across as too busy/in your face to me, but I can appreciate the vibe they're going for.
They have a ton of great beer on draft. Probably 10-20 of their own stuff and another 25+ well-picked handles from all over the country. I wound up getting a one off of theirs and FW Double Jack.
Service was as good as can be expected, very friendly.
The food was pretty good, but bordering on mildly expensive for what you got (but nice big portions).
Overall this is a great place to grab some BBQ and check out some great beer, whether you like Oskar Blues or not.

Now, this is more like it. A nice restaurant, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and great beer. Combine that with the jazz/blues feel and music, and the outside patio and we're talking fantabulous.
We had appetizers to go with our beer lunches. Nachos and wings. Darn good. The Old Chub sauce is the bomb-diggity.
Long tap line. OB stuff, plus CO stuff, plus other stuff. Large enough place to not wait on most nights, but I can see lines forming in the summer.
Not much else to say: it's a must stop!

A really cool place. Laid back though busy and surprisingly clean. Really cool lay out with a nice size bar, outdoor seating, and lots of indoor seating. The food was enjoyable and the beer selection very great. Worth it just to try the fresh tap Deviant Dales but lots of choices from many other great brewers too, both local and national. The service was really accomodating and friendly. The price was certainly fair, they offer some nice lunch deals if you can make it there early enough.. Glad I finally got off my lazy ass and made it up there.

This may have been my favorite stop on our "beercation." Not only did I love all of the OB brews, I also enjoyed many of the guest taps they had on. There were many local beers offered, which was great. I believe in all I sampled about 15 beers while at OB. Selection was great and the quality was even better. Atmosphere was interesting. At the bar it was a little hectic, but in an upbeat, how can I help you sort of way...not really a bad thing, but not necessarily laid back.
The food here was GREAT. The salad I had (June Carter) was the best I had on the whole trip. Everything else I saw and smelled seemed delicious. Service was quick...very little wait time for food, and almost no wait time for beer.
Overall, I wish this place was located next to my house. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!!!

Located jus south of the mall area in Longmount. Oskar's has a backwoods southern feel. Kinda kitchy, but not in your face.
Everyone seems to be having a good time and the vibe was good.
The beer selection features Oskar's beers, but they also have a bunch of local and premium taps that begs you to stay. I was offered some free samples when it was evident I couldn't handle all the selections. Lost Abbey, Stone, etc. were of note.
The food looked to be more of a southern flair with ribs and cheesy mac.
Overall, this is a great place to hit. With all the great selections in the area it is hard to say a "must hit." However, I will make sure to hit this place again if I'm in the area.

A big place, nicely located away from the hustle and bustle of any major city. Great vibe; not the kind of thing I'm usually into, though it was well-executed to the point where I really enjoyed it. Folksy, with a lean towards a Southern/Cajun theme, purposefully cheesy, but not annoyingly so...this place was a lot of fun, even just to walk into. Lots of stuff going on at any given time, and there was even a little folk-country band playing right by the door. A good sized bar, lots of tables, two floors (and I didn't look upstairs so there's probably another bar there too), and outside seating. Lots of wall decor, but delightfully tacky, not in a [name your chain] way. Scads of old records line the walls and the bar, and dozens--perhaps hundreds--of tap handles hang from the bar ceiling. There's even an arcade room in the back!
Service was great, and we had one of two bartenders looking out for us at any given time. Tap list was above reproach, with nearly 50 beers on tap, mostly local stuff--including of course, Oskar Blues' tasty brews--but with some items traveling from as far as CA and the east coast. Food was great as well, with a lot of Cajun-style or quasi-Cajun-style selections to go with the general vibe of the place, and other general comfort foods. My wife had a salad that she claims was the best she's ever had.
Great place. Fun, full of beer, and not too pricey. I'd love to go back some day.

We stopped in for a couple sampler flights and a light snack while travelling through on our way to Laramie, Wyoming today. The atmosphere was great. There was live bluegrass music when we walked in the door. We sat out in the patio area. It was a beautiful day so that added to the atmosphere. The beers were good and the two sides that we ordered to share between the five of us (3 kids, my wife and I) were very tasty. The service was awesome. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. My wife and I even said that if we weren't travelling on we would have liked to just hang out for a while. There is a horseshoe pit become sandbox outside and the kids were entertained playing in the sand and the rocks out in the patio area. They were happy and we were happy.
Travelling through from Denver we had loads of options to hit up today and I am very glad that we chose Oskar Blues.
I chose to say "a bit pricey" because the flights were a little more expensive than at many places I have visited around the country. I suppose that with the selection they have, they can get away with it though.
