Teller's may technically be a brewpub; it is part of the Queen City Restaurant group (and consequently serves their beer), and the waitress I spoke to wasn't sure if any brewing was done on the premises or if all the brewing was done at the Watson Bros. location.
In any case, Teller's of Hyde Park is an upscale bar/restaurant much like Watson Bros, but with more emphasis on wine; I believe that Teller's recieved Wine Spectator magazine's "Award of Excellence". That being said, the beer selection was pretty good. Aside from some of the "Main Street" beers (which I guess is Queen City's brand name), they had Great Lake's Dortmunder Gold and Arrogant Bastard Ale on tap.
The physical surroundings were beautiful; Teller's is a converted bank (hence the name), and they did a good job of it. The menu was somewhat pricey, but the food was well prepared.
The place is seriously yuppie, so you may feel out of place if you show up in a jeans and t-shirt; that being said, this might be a good place to visit, especially if you're with someone who cares about wine.

What a dilemna this place provides to the craft beer drinker. Located in a uppity part of Cincinnati (Hyde Park). This is a former bank building that now hosts a upscale restaurant and bar. The tap selection is among the best in Cincinnati. Well represented on a regular basis and even catching the limited beers and releases. All good on those fronts.
However, where the problem lies is with the area. First, parking is a royal pain in the ass. If you're lucky enough to find a parking spot, you'll be aggravated walking in this place. This is yuppie heaven. Nothing but uppity wine/macro drinking peeps with a sweater vest or sweater tied around their neck. The patrons don't understand and will get downright snobbish with those that don't belong.
Kudos to ownership for rocking a wonderful tap lineup. It truly is something worth seeking out. Us beer geeks need to hit this place like Caddy Day on Caddyshack and run off some of the snobbery. Then this place would be a regular stop.

My wife and I stopped by to try the place before taking some out of towners, the end result is we wont be coming back. The beer selection was pretty good, but as other people have mention it was on the pricier side of the scale, the wait staff we had was moderately knowledgeable about the beers, but incredibly less so about the food. The restaurant itself has a very interesting motif seeing as it used to be a bank, and the option to see in the vault was very cool indeed.
What I did like is that they did have a good selection of beer, not enough to make you take notice and tell the world about, but enough to make you go "hmmm I will have to think about what I want today"
What I did not like was that I was out in shorts, a polo, and a baseball cap, I did not feel out of place necessarily, but I did see rude stares from the wait staff, as if what are you doing in here. I do not feel that this would be a place you could come and relax for an extended period of time and drink despite their selection of beer. What really draws back my memory from a few weeks back was how poor the food was for both my wife and I and the price we paid for it. I ended up with their "Vault Burger" which sorely needed to be seasoned and my wife with a less than flavor full doughy flat bread "pizza."

Overall if you want a good beer with poor food you are fine, but so many places do so much better.

Very Yuppie! A person would fit in better in a tie than T-shirt. Teller's is a better restaurant than a bar. It is an old converted bank building which is elegant but does not have a pub atmosphere. It is a better place to take a date, than a place for a good beer with the boys after the game.

And now about the beers ... an impressive number on tap -- 29 to be exact -- from Mad Hatter to Flying Dog; however, most people were drinking domestic macro brews out of a bottle or drinking mixed drinks. How are the draft brews going to stay fresh if no one is drinking draft? The taps are beautiful to behold while you're drinking a bud light out of a bottle!

So much potential with this place.

I couldn't imagine a worse atmosphere. The largest grouping of snobby turdballs and yuppie assholes ever. I like to go there after 12 hours of landscaping just to piss off the smug fart sniffers. If you just don't give a fuck, then you'll enjoy this place because it really does bring in some fantastic beers. The selection isn't the biggest but big enough and they usually bring it. The bartenders are skid marks as well and aren't the most knowledgeable but are fair quick in bringing the beers. I haven't tried the food because I can't afford Beluga Cavier and partially fertilized unicorn embryo's, but I hear that it's pretty damn good. Pretty expensive... I want to say the Palo Santo I ordered was $9. Big and rare beer, but $9....

Teller's in Hyde Park is not bad. Not so great either. They do have a nice selection of beers on tap, all my standard Diagio favorites, Smithwick's Guinness, Harp. They also carry 2-3 from Bell's which I enjoy as well as several craft/microbrews.

The amosphere here is pretty cool, a gorgeous bar full of beer and wine, as well as being in an old bank building, there is a vault you can eat inside.

Now, the reason I reviewed is because the food here is nothing special. I really dont see how so many people think its great.

Both times I went here the food was mediocre. My Girl had pastas both times that were no better than what I could make at home. Same with the steaks I had.

Go for the beer, not the food.
