Just a monster triple on tap! Pours a luxurious gold with a wisp of a head and minimal lace. First taste is of intense Belgian earthiness and some barnyard mustiness with a warming alcoholic wallop. Then comes the pear skin and some apple fruitiness in an ultra full bodied mouthfeel. Hop bitterness is there but in a old, stale Belgian sort of way which is different but good. Everything about this beer screams Belgium. Other triples I've tried on tap have been a bit cleaner than the bottled version but not this one. The refermentation complexities come through it spades. Finishes with a mouth coating dryness and absolutely gets better as it warms. Another Belgium triple that expands the parameters of the style.

33cl Bottle poured into the correct (lovely) glass on a sun terrace of a bar in Valkenburg, Holland, 23 Oct 2012. The bottle had a BBD of Oct 2013.

As the name might suggest to you, the beer is golden blonde in colour, on top sat a full white crown of bubbles. It's glass helps to make it look special in my eyes.

The nose is a bit sweeter and grainer than I like: seemed wheaty and sugary even before the first sip and I wasn't looking forward to trying it.

Luckily it wasn't as sickly and weak as the aroma first indicated: still had a sweet front, but it calmed down mid-sip and got even a little hop bitter and dry towards the end of each mouth full.

Can't say it was great, but it was OK I suppose: not very well balanced, almost dis-jointed in that the flavours didn't blend or mix. I'll not be having another by choice.

Golden colour, not completely clear. Smells apple, citrus, some banana and vanilla based on bread. Low carbonation with small bubbles. Very smooth flavour, more than expected from belgians, though with a superior drinkability (maybe this was the idea). Alcohol (7%) is surprisingly well hidden, just sensed in the aroma. Taste is pretty consistent, it does not change much over time. Liked the proposal.

A: Nice golden clear color, body seems light due to the transparency even it is not, head is white in color but very compact formed of small bubbles it was not really large but dissipates not too fast and leaves some traces on the glass.

A: Clear malty aroma, maybe some dust - woods forest like on the back but basically intense barley aroma.

T: Also very clear simple but intense flavor, barley malts with also some

M: The sensation while drinking this beer is quite nice, nothing to regret with slow easy starting and getting a little more complex as time passes by for a nice balanced ending not sweet not bitter.
