Poured from 750ml bottle into tulip glass

A-Thick and syrupy pour with minimal head and no lacing. The beer itself is a cloudy dark amber-orange hazy. This is a very incising looking beer that would drink well on a mild summer night on the porch.

S-While the aroma is not overwhelming it is a pleasant one. You catch sweet peaches upfront with a caramelized malt aroma on the back end.

T-A mellow, rye and caramelized maltiness initially that slides into slight bitterness. Then sweetness of the peaches take over and lingers a bit. Notes of oak hang in the background through out the tongue.

M-Heavy body with a light syrup consistency that actually ends up leaving a drier mouthfeel than expected. Low levels of carbonation.

O-A decent beer, one that I would maybe get again on draft, but would not spend the premium price ($17) that I paid for this beer in the bottle. This beer has great potential, but the flavors just seem a little bit muted. More tartness/sour flavor would have elevated this beer to the next level.

Served in a nonic from a 750 ML bottle; October 2012 bottling date.

A - Poured with a very good off-white head over a lightly hazy, amber/orange (peach) liquid.

Aroma: Fruity and woody, with a substantial impact from being "aged in chardonnay barrels".

Taste - fortunately not nearly as woody as the smell but both the wood and the wine have a clear impact on this wheat beer. Peaches are more subtle, probably being overpowered by the barrel aging.

Mouthfeel: 8.2% ABV is well hidden in this smooth beer. Medium carbonation. Medium body.

O: nicely complex, but peach/chardonnay barrel aging did not work as well as I expected. The Fig & Raisin from the ME Window Pane Series definitely better.

Had this one on a past ticking trip to Asheville! Served from tap into a sampler snifter. Poured a hazy yellow-orange with a half finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, earth, wheat, spice, and fruit. The flavor was of sweet malt, peach, fruit, wheat, spice, and sweet alcohol. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a decent brew. Nothing on this one really stood out for me. Yes, the peaches were there in the flavor, but they really didn't add to the beer very much at all. They might have been better off going overboard with the peaches here rather than relying on the base Witbier to carry through. Also the alcohol content on this one was definitely too high for a brew this delicate in flavor. Worth your time trying, but that is about it.

Pours cloudy dark straw with a fizzy small white head that fades quickly.

Not much on the nose at all. Maybe a little white wine character and some tangy wheat. No fruit evident.

And the flavor tells me something went horribly wrong here. There are peaches in here? All I taste is band aids and rubbing alcohol. Loads of off phenol flavor overpowers everything. Maybe some oak and Belgian spice peak through a bit, but this is undrinkable. Absolutely no peach presence.

Medium bodied, carb is ok. At this point it doesn't matter.

Unfortunately this appears to be a good idea gone bad. About 725ml of our bottle went down the drain after the girlfriend and I choked down a few sips apiece to confirm how awful this beer is.

As soon as I heard this one was at my local bottle shop, I stopped by to pick some up. This same shop never got the Blackberry version, so I didn't want to miss out on this one. Poured this into a chalice.

Pours a deep dark caramel-orange with a small cap of white froth. Light lace left behind after each sip. The aroma is interesting to say the least. It definitely wasn't what I expected. I anticipated a little more spice and maybe some funky tartness, but instead, this is sweet with vanilla, wine, peaches, with hints of musty wood.

The body is uber-creamy and smooth. Moderate carbonation that seems even lacking at times. Decent finish with a slightly syrupy feel. This is really sweet! Not sure this has any "Wit" at all, even at the base level. The Chardonnay barreling comes out with a force as vanilla, oak, bourbon-y flavors take precedent. A little dryness noted from the oak. Mild peach flavor, more like peach candy. No tartness noted at all, to my chagrin. I kept waiting for the tart smack on the back end, as described on the bottle, to no avail.

This was a fine beer, but it just wasn't what I had hoped it would be. Anticipated a little more tartness, and much less vanilla candy-like sweetness.

A: 4.5 like rich caramel in a glass, slight head but still effervescent
S: 4.5 very sweet on the nose with an serious after thought of sweet peaches
T: 4.0 strong in alcohol but not as much as the peach which was even stronger
MF: 3.5 fuller body than I originally expected, but still a little weak.
O: 4.0 this beer is light and fruity which is a nice summer or autumn treat

big thanks to Beerness for sending me this out of the blue. I was trying to get this anyways and before I even got out to look for it, bam! there it was.

Pours a nice fizzy bubbly 1 finger head that fades fairly quickly some lacing, super hazy sediment laden copper apple juice colored beer.

Nose starts with fruit, more apricot like, some white grape chardonnay wine and light oaky barrel, actually toasty buttery oak really starts to come out, some sweet malt maybe wheat, touch of Belgian almost funky yeast, light toasty bready malt, hint of booze phenols, fruity esters, light stone fruit, and a light medicinal perfumy like aroma.

Taste starts like a big Belgian beer, nice toasty malty flavor, booze and light phenols, plenty of buttery toasty oak, light wood dust, plenty of white grape, chardonnay wine, light acidic flavor, etc. Hint tartness. Stone fruit is there but not a lot, more apricot than peach again, light syrupy condensed stone fruit and light caramel like. Light grassy hops in there too. Finish is drier but sticky, bit more bitter grassy hops, light grainy bready yeasty and malty, syrupy, hint of fruity.

Mouth is med bodied, lower carb, syrupy.

Overall quite disappointing. As a wit aged in Chard barrels, this would be a decent beer, but when it says peaches and I don't get any peaches... F* that! Also, with how awesome Blackberry Window Pane was, this is so disappointing.

Thanks to Jlindros for sharing. Poured into Kate the Great tulip.

A - Poured a nice crystal clear light orange almost peach juice like colour with a thick one finger head that fades to leave thick halo and light thin clouding.

S - Aromas of disappointment. Absurdly light peaches here along with firm Chardonnay barrels and light yeasts along with alcohol.

T - Taste is a more faint candied apricot flavour. Not nearly as bright as blackberry window pane unfortunately. Actually massively unfortunately disappointed here. Nice Chardonnay barrels with alcohol as well. This isn't even that sweet! I think the Chardonnay barrels killed every last peach in this.

M - Mouthfeel is nice lowly carbonated with faint barrel notes. Faint alcohol Noyes too.

O - Overall I was immensely disappointed by this beer. Its a decent beer but fails epically compared to how good the fresh blackberry window pane was. Damnit.

Thanks to jtd1969 for sharing this bottle.

A - orangish amber with a short, white head

S - citrusy, some faint yeast

T - bread, yeast, faint peaches, alcohol, mildly bitter

M - medium bodied, smooth, well carbonated

This is a bit disappointing. The fruit wasn't nearly as forward as I would have hoped and the alcohol was a bit heavy. This isn't a bad beer by any means, but for $18 a bomber it should be a bit more flavorful than this. I won't be having this again.
