This was the only local place to buy craft beer at one time. Now that more stores are offering a good selection, they are no longer the only game in town. The selection of beer is reasonable, while not outstanding.
The one thing that has kept me away is the attitude of the employees. I hate to say it but the cashiers act as if they are going out of their way to let you shop here. The first time I thought it was just a one off, but the more I visited the more I saw it. The few encounters I have had with employees in the beer dept were less than memorable.
Go to one of the other craft beer sellers in the area, there are many good ones to choose from.

I decide to stop here this past weekend while in Chelmsford visiting my Sister in Law's family. The beer selection is okay. I may be jaded by having places like Table & Vine and Ryan & Casey's to visit in Mass.
They have a standard selection of Stone, Sierra Nevada, Sam Smiths, and Victory Products. I would consider the Belgian selection mediocre. One highlight on the Belgian front was the Duchess. I'll give'm credit for stocking the Duchess.
Their selection of English beers was pretty decent, the German beers were lackluster, Plenty of BMC available in the cooler
I found the beers a bit pricey for what I'm used to paying. For example the Three Philsophers was 8.49 for a bottle. I'm still paying less then 6.00 for it here in VT. WTF?
I'd be inclined to explore other opportunities in the area before returning to this store.
The staff were extremely polite, and very helpful. I'm give them that.
Returned on 4/29/2012
The craft beer selection seems meh. Would like to find somewhere else in Chelmsford to compare this to. It meets one's basic needs. Beyond that it's just average.

A very good sized liquor store, where the beer section is quite substantial, though an expected amount is dominated by BMC and the like. Store area where craft beer lives is wide open, although they tend to hold wine tastings in that area, so sneaking in to browse when that is going on can be a big pain.
There are frequent changes in shelf stock, but some of the stock is there over time. Some discount/brew they want to push near the windows/entrance glass doors. Hmm.
Always very friendly cashing out. Younger guys always running hand carts of stock, and will ask if you need help, although some of he overheard advice leads me to believe that they survive on assumption rather than actual knowledge there.
Good selection of 6ers; limited singles (12 oz.), ok selection of bombers (none of the Berkshire brew in the fridge, though, as it needs to be). You can break up a 6 and grab a single, although it seems like I'm the only one doing it. Cooler is really lacking in craft selection. If you grab a bunch of warm but want a couple of cold ones right away, you might have to go to another store. Some rarities, but I drank thru them in a couple of weeks.
Not over the top expensive -- they make their money on Bud, but not super cheap either. Worth a stop to see what's new, and there are some surprises. Unique changes seem to be in small quantities, so if it is new and a bit rare for the region, grab it, as it might not be around the next time.

This is a HUGE store located in Chelmsford. I stop by from time to time since I work in the area.
Their selection is pretty large and varied. The entire left part of the store and a huge section of coolers in the back are dedicated to beer. They seem to focus mainly on 4/6pks but that's not to say that their singles selection lacks too badly. They have a large selection of brews from around the world. They do get some specialties and rarer stuff from time to time too (just picked up a Hellhound this week for example).
Overall quite nice, I'd say only one step down from an amazing place like a Julios or a Redstone liquors.

Stopped here a couple days ago. They have a huge shelf filled with craft beers. Good selection of Founders, Bear Rep, Trappists, Belgians, Stone, some Rogue, etc etc. Prices were reasonable although they had a few good deals (got a Double Bastard for the same price as AB). The store was clean and well organized.
Customer service was pretty ordinary. No one was greeting anyone or asking if anyone needed assistance. There was a guy seemingly doing inventory and I expected him to at least make eye contact with some of the customers but he seemed to be trying to be invisible.
They have a huge wall lined with coolers, but unfortunately their singles selection is pitiful and mostly macros. Overall it's a great stop just across the boarder.

I have gone to harringtons on numerous occasions to get the beers that I just can't find anywhere else. I have trouble finding sierra nevada big foot near me, and they have it. they also have a nice selection of 22s and craft 6 packs that you just won't find elsewhere in my area. they are also willing to do special orders if they don't carry something that their distributor has. They really have a lot of US craft brewers, I just wish they had a little better selection on the craft import side. also have an extensive wine selection if you enjoy that too check the place out.

At first this was far and away my favorite place to buy beer, but after finding other stores in the area, this has fallen by the wayside. The store is good don't get me wrong, but the selection isn't as great as I once thought and the service is decent at best. They have to usual that you would find in any average store, not many rarities, but some that you would be surprised by.This is definitely more of a wine store with a good beer selection. I was there today and they seem to be running low on certain beers, the shelves were empty in spots.

I stopped by here while on a trip home. Huge building with a even bigger parking lot. Tons of liquor and assorted mixed drink products. The beer in the freezer was fully stocked but lacked a huge quality across a spectrum of breweries. I was able to get a Shipyard sampler however, fairly priced as well. The beer on the counters were much better stocked with quality micros and imports. They had BBC, Rogue, Stone, The Tap, Geary's, Shipyard, Dogfish Head, Weyerbacher and other assortments. The place seemed well staff, but a lot of the workers seemed like high school kids. Most just worked at the redemption area or the registers, but I was just surprised by how many high school aged looking people were working there. Overall, this place can definitely get you want you wanted.

I've been shopping here for a little while now because they are the closest decent liquor store to me. Let me just say that I live in NH and this store being just over the border helps me keep stocked up with all the beer that I can't purchase in my state. I drive 45 minutes to shop here unless I am looking for something extra special in which case I would drive another 45 minutes to Julio's. The selection is really good, there are better in the state, but for most brews that I'm looking for I can get them here. I have never talked with anyone here about beer, so I have no idea how knowledgeable they are. I just kinda wonder around looking at what they have to offer and nobody really bothers me. I have emailed them asking for specific brews and they were good about responding to me right away. Decent selection of Belgians, English and German beer. Lots of local micros. Last time I was there they had some Alesmith and Hoppin Frog stuff. I wish they would carry some of the Black water stuff from Southern Tier.
All in all great go to store for me.

My regular beer store.
Selection is pretty good, but not excellent. A variety of beers from Stone, Rogue, Bear Republic, and DFH. The variety of Belgians is also reasonable, I picked up some St. Bernadus, Lindemans, and some Rochefort. Local selection is also good with Cisco, Berkshire, and several others.
Prices are reasonable with 750mL of Belgians running about $8-$12 and bombers of Rogue and Stone $4-$5. Most craft sixers run $7-$10. Big ups for having Oskar Blues in the can! Pick up a sixer of cans of Old Chub!
Like everyone else seems to say, they are strict with the ID check, but if you know about this ahead of time it takes a mere few seconds to complete.
I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a decent selection of brew,
