Had on tap at Intuition Ale Works for Jax beer week.
A- Dark brown/red. Tan head with a fair amount of lacing.
S- I really can't pin point the smell so I'll just call it caramel.
T- Malty upfront and warm going down. I'm not sure of it would have this same profile if it was at the Gainesville brewery. It was very foamy out of the tap.
M- Moderate carbonation. With a sticky residue.
I'd really like to try again at their tap room.

On tap at the House of Brews in Jensen Beach.
A – Poured out a very dark brown/black. Nice solid finger of tan head that receded quickly to a light cover. Nice lacing left down the glass.
S – Nice light caramel malt smell with some chocolate and vanilla.
T – First thing I noticed was the smokiness. It is not overwhelming but certainly there. Has a nice roasty malt flavor with sweetness in the forms on vanilla and caramel. Warming alcohol at the end.
M – Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Slick on the palate.
O – Nice brew here. Has solid flavors and is an easy drinker. Has something for malt lovers and those inclined to smoky brews.

Poured into a 12 oz shaker.
A: Creamy khaki head. Sticky as it stays put for several minutes. Dark mahogany with an amber hue. Deep body with an illuminating glow. Head retention is spot on as there is not legs, but literally a coating of head all the way down.
S: Toffee, rich caramel candy, leather, raw hide, clean carbonation.
T: Sweet up front, slight booze presence then a crazy smoked leather, raw hide finish.
M: Quite smooth for the harsh taste characteristics. Lingers with a candy sweetness.
O: Taste like a saddle a cowboy has been riding in the desert for 12 years, rough dry leather. A well put together, complex malt bomb. I am not too familiar with Scotch ales to make a meaningful benchmark for style. I do recommend Bogs of Islay to any beer geek looking for a uniquely complex ale.

Arrives dark, nearly black with a small light tan head. Retention is minimal, dropping to a faint ring within a minute. Decent lace (to start) considering. A weak amount of light penetration.
Smell is light overall with notes of malt, vanilla and fainter notes of chocolate and some dark fruits.
Taste is stronger with roasted malt, cocoa, vanilla, hops.
Fairly full-bodied with a very light effervescence. Slight drying and light coating of the tongue.A decent brew but needs a bit more flavor and a bunch more nose.
