On tap at the brewery, reviewed on my crackberry.
Presented in a 8oz snifter glass. This beer pours a cooling molten copper with just a small, white 1 inch head and supprisingly leaves no lacing as the beer dissapears from the snifter. The aroma is swwet citrus with tangerineand orange doninating and a slight pine on the finish. The flavor is exactly the opposite with a goey pine followed up with over ripe oranges. Backing up this beer is a solid malt profile adding just a bit of yeasty bread. The mouthfeel is dry, yet still leaving a lingering hoppy sweetness on the palate. Over all I'm glad to see Broadway expanding into big beers and trying new things.

Pours a hazy, dark amber color. 1/2 inch head of a white color. Good retention and good lacing. Smells of strong hops, slight citrus, and sweet malt. Fits the style of an American Double / Imperial IPA. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong hops, slight citrus, and a sweet malt background. Overall, strong bitterness, but a little lacking in body and complexity.

Presentation: On-tap, 10oz snifter
Appearance: Dark amber brew, with a large-bubbled head that shows ok retention. The head sticks around long enough (in thick film), but the large bubbles make it appear just a bit too soapy
Smell: Wow! Supremely fresh, resiny herbaceous and piney hops. This is REALLY vibrant and pleasant! Hint of sweet malt in the background.
Taste: Wonderful flavors include resiny pine, a touch of citrus fruit, and a light (clean) malt backing. No alcoholic bite, with just a hint of warming strength and a medium-full hop bitterness which is firm but not harsh. Really well-crafted!
Mouthfeel: Medium-full
Drinkability: High
Conclusion: The first couple of times we'd gone to Broadway (when they were brand new) their beer was so-so (though the food was awesome!). Tonight, we tried a porter and a stout, both of which were really tasty. This DIPA, however, blew me out of the water! Subtle, but prominent flavors, perfect balance, etc...consider me impressed!
